I am still eagerly looking forward to this game. The fact that it centers on the backstory of my favorite gear - Damon Baird, makes it an automatic purchase for me. The new modes sound really promising. Now it is a question of WHEN in 2013 we will see this.

At Comicon they said March...now if they actually stick to that date is a different story all together.

After debuting over six years ago, and now three sequel games, it's time to change it up a bit

Not really. Gears has a pretty unique playing style. If people want COD, Battlefront or Halo styles of play then play those games.

I'm all for new game types like they are going to give us, but not for changing the whole mechanics of the game.

I don't mind the change of control scheme. I use the alternate controls now as it is so I'm sure I'll be fine once I get used to it.

Have you guys noticed on these new videos you can see a cross hair for each weapon when the player isn't aiming. Not sure if I like that.

Cliff Bleszinski, design director known for his creative work on the Gears of War and Unreal Tournament, has departed Epic Games. In an EpicGames.com blog post, it seems Bleszinski may be leaving the industry outright.
"I’ve been doing this since I was a teenager, and outside of my sabbatical last year, I have been going non-stop," Bleszinski said. "I literally grew up in this business, as Mike [Capps] likes to say. And now that I’m grown up, it’s time for a much needed break. I will miss the projects, the playtests, the debates, and most importantly, the people."

Baird's pose looks OK, but I think his head should be aiming in the same direction his chest is facing. In other words, we as the viewer, should see more of the left side of his face. He shouldn't be looking right at us.

By the way, this is so bought, day one. :rock
