How in the world does someone not know this is just a lead in to the series on TV? Ill you must have been a sleep for a while now. I mean it was talked about at the Con.

Star Wars is one of my biggest interests, hence why I was over at rebelscum for a while before I came here

And i'm not askin what you think about 1-3, i'm asking since when does order matter when you put out stuff in the SW universe. Just like the books too, the EU mixes in all over the SW universe, but it's easy to follow, and is great at filling in the gaps.

Thats what I like about this stuff coming out books, movies, series, etc. Fills it all in and adds to it. I'm a fan of SW.

Hell yeah, i've loved Star Wars since I was a little kid. It's a whole, created universe made by 1 friggin' person. That's why I love when people rip on Lucas. Sure, sometimes he can't write well... sometimes he throws in stuff at random times. But he made a universe.

I did not attend every Star Wars panel at the Con and I knew their was a series in the works, what I didn't know was that it was another Clone Wars series. I just know not to express my opinions around you anymore, 'cause they're gonna be invalid.

And there are differences between "giving opinions" and calling something "worthless". What expresses the true worth of something vs. being a movie you didn't enjoy?

Any Star Wars movie, book, graphic novel, cartoon, etc.. to me, be it Ep. 1 or Ep. 5 has great worth to me and my life as a fan.

I didn't either. As a matter of fact I didn't go to one. I knew about it before hand and it was all over anyways. I didn't say anything about your opinion being invalid but I don't HAVE to agree with it either. Do what you feel is best for you though.

To me Lucas has taken something I loved and cherished from my childhood and made it into a cash machine and to ME the Prequels lacked the magic of the OT. The PT just doesn't stack up and nothing else he can produce will ever overcome Episodes 4-6.

Lucas has done that. Nobody can deny it. Lots of fans just prefer the OT and nothing else. I don't subscribe to that but can understand it. I just don't get the hate towards the other stuff.

That being said is it Nov 7th yet?

Wow, Ill, dude. A cash machine? Come on.

Lets think of a few things here. When you create a universe that inevitably gets this popular, things have to spawn out of that. That's what happens, it's business. Especially his studios and special effects stuff. Half the movies we all love now wouldn't be where they are without his stuff. You can't blame a business man for doing business with his creations. Just like a sculptor and artist... are you really going to stop your style of art/not sell it if you have people flocking to it because it's something they get enjoyment out of?

Now... back to Gears.

SW was turned into a "cash machine" LONG before the PT. It was turned into a Cash machine right after the first film was a hit in 1977. You have a fond memory as a kid BECAUSE you were a kid. You see it today as parents in the 70's and 80's saw it then.

That said, I still love SW even though I don't think it's nearly as "golden" as it was during the OT.
