General Complaint-Sideshow Gift Cards

The Luke piece is pretty nice, and I recommend it overall (certainly better than their other Luke). But I wouldn't really recommend getting it from Sideshow with a giftcard, since you can get it (even the exclusive) for quite a bit less on ebay. I got my exclusive for around $225 shipped.

Don't get me wrong. I think its great that Sideshow has this promotion, however, it would be nice if they offered more items that the cards can be used for. For example, of the items currently in stock at Sideshow, these are the only ones I'd be interested in:

HT Captain Dallas
HT Leon Kennedy (both versions)
HT Ganado Exclusive Version (regular version IS on the gift card list)
HT POTC Jack Sparrow

And they are not on the gift card list. Oh well, I guess I still have five months before my card expires.

Not sure if this is the appropriate forum or not, but I feel like Sideshow should have allowed their gift cards to be used on pre-order or wait list items if the item was due in stock before the expiration date of the card. Right now the Sideshow shelves are pretty bare in terms of 1/6th stuff and I'm having a hard time finding anything that I want to use my card on. I can't even find anything that might make good "trade" fodder down the road. My only hope is that some waitlist items convert to instock before my card expires.

How bout they just dont give you a gift card at all.

With all due respect, that's not remotely the same thing. You can spend that $5 bill on anything. Sidehow gift cards are more like coupons that are only good for certain products. I agree that you shouldn't complain about getting something for free, but if you're not familiar with the way that Sideshow does things, it could be disappointing to find that you're so limited in what you can use them on.

I only pick $5 bills up off the ground if they are clean. Otherwise it is not worth the effort to stop and bend over to pick it up.

Yeah right, once I stopped a line of people walking behind me because I saw 13 pennies on the ground. People had to walk around me, but I picked everyone one of them up.

The other thing I wish about the GC is that I could use more than 1 per promotion. I got a $50 card from IrishJedi way back for Christmas and saved it until it was pretty much expired because I wasn't sure what to use it on. So I finally pick something I wanted on Aug 29th or 30th and try to use it only to find that I had used one from that promotion already!

But all in all I love the GCs. I fear though that it will soon be ended because more and more I see people say stuff like, "I'm passing on ____, because I want to use a gift card for it."
