Funny, the "pundits" also predicted the Lakers would "run away" with the Pacific division too, so yeah, their words holds a lot of weight :lol

:goodpost: The Bulls would destroy Miami and make LBJ wanna find a new team...

Yep, great example how irrrelevant 22 game win streaks are...look no further than that '08 Houston team :lol

If Parker is healthy, I could see Spurs taking them in this one...

Because you are a bastion of nba objectivity... Not.

BTW, this stat is pretty relevant to me...

The Heat are the ninth team in history to uncork a single-season win streak that spanned at least 18 games. And five of the previous eight, if you're curious omenwise, went on to win it all. Only Boston (19 in a row in 2008-09), Houston (22 in 2007-08) and Boston (18 in 1981-82) fell shy.

5 out of 8... I like those odds. 63% chance to bring home the trophy. And BTW, the 09 Boston team mightve won it all again considering they took the Lakers to seven without Garnet

LOL. If Jordan were guarded by someone like LeBron rather the Craig Ehlos of the NBA back in the 90s he wouldn't be nearly as dominate.

If Jordan played today he would dominate more than he did. You can't touch guys today and in Jordan's day you could almost mug them. He'd probably avg 40 a game.

DISAGREE. two words why... ZONE DEFENSE. You think its a coincidence that scoring averages (both team and individual) are down 10% since the 90's?

Re: NBA 2012-2013

Its just funny to think back about some of the stiffs that MJ took winning shots over. Craig Ehlo and a fat Bryon Russell. :lol

Not exactly a strong SG league back then, especially defensively.

Ron Harper was probably the best of a bad bunch and for like 2 or 3 championships of Jordan's career they were on the same team. :lol

I'll disagree as well that Jordan would be better now. The defenders are way more athletic now than they were when you had a bunch of white boy 3 point specialists starting at the SG in the 90s.

Yeah, because he never saw one of those before. Jordan had a very good jump shot and teams don't play zone all that often. If guys like Lebron, Durant, Kobe can average what they do and Jordan is better than them I'm quite confident in my stance. Not that it matters its all conjecture at this point.

Re: NBA 2012-2013

Now Tony Parker is a stuff. :lol You're just a straight Spurs haters, no one is a Spurs uniform can possibly be good to you. Weird that they have the best record. Yeah pop is a great coach but you still need great players

Jordan didn't have a better jump shot than Kobe or Durant imo and he wasn't a freight train at the basket like Lebron, so I can't imagine Jordan averaging much more than he did back then. Kobe and MJ are very comparable at the offensive end, but it's more than offense that makes MJ the best of all time.

Sure thing :)

Re: NBA 2012-2013

Imagine LeBron taking on the 80's Pistons? They would make him their b**** lol

The mere fact, regardless anything else MJ has ever done, that he beat those Pistons and the Pistons 2.0 (aka the 90's Knicks) makes him GOAT. Nowadays, you can't breathe on a superstar without a foul call.

You want to know why LeBron is a freight train? Because he can. Defenses would have LeBron on his BACK in the 80's, 90's. No way would they give him the red carpet to the basket like defenses have to do now.

After the Spurs dominated with defense and ratings plummeted because the general American audience are idiots, it's no secret Stern wanted higher scoring and less defense now which is why he completely watered down the game to allow the likes of LeBron to dominate. Why do you think the NFL has loosened up their defensive rules. Think about the live ball vs. dead ball era in MLB. Scoring sells, defense does not. The game is much easier to dominate now than even just 10 years ago.

Bottom line: If MJ played today facing the loose defense LeBron plays now, MJ would average 40 ppg easily...
