Re: NBA 2012-2013

It doesn't matter...it's been a fabulous year either way regardless who we play...this team has accomplished much more than anyone (including myself) expected especially after these recent years disappointments (starting with the Suns sweep in '10 and ending with the Thunder's backdoor sweep from last year).

Win or lose I just want to see Spurs play with heart, that's all that matters to me...this season has been one of the most fun seasons I can remember including some of the championship years. I love watching the development of this team (Green, Kawhi, Splitter etc)...

I was sort of explaining this to my friend, as a Spurs fan I really can't complain at all. For a team that never gets any free agents and pretty much has the same core for over a decade, it's kind of amazing they are on the verge of the NBA finals

Re: NBA 2012-2013

As long as the heat dont win it im good. Was hoping for another tooth and nail game last night, but I suppose reality set in. I do admit too its impressive to see the spurs there after all this time...

Re: NBA 2012-2013

The Pacers seem to have a piss more offense. I think Granger would help, but it's just not looking good for them.

Re: NBA 2012-2013

What do you think the reaction would of been if we told everyone the Spurs would make it to the finals this year? :lol

lol we would've been laughed out of this thread but rightfully so. A lot of things had to fall in place for us to make it this far. Lakers faltering, the Harden trade, Westbrook injury, David Lee injury, Rudy Gay trade etc etc.

It's weird because I think legitimately Spurs could have and should have made it to the Finals every year, at the very least the WCF (except 2010 that team was terrible and deserved to get swept by the Suns) but for whatever reason they just came up short. So in one respect I'm not surprised they made it to the Finals but on the other hand we are very lucky to make it the finals.

Either way, I'm happy for Pop, Duncan, TP and Manu. They work so hard, lots of ups and downs and really deserve it.

Re: NBA 2012-2013

Yeah it will definitely be very polarizing. Good versus evil and all that :D

At least we'll have Cleveland rooting for us :lol

Re: NBA 2012-2013

If the Spurs play the Heat I can see the Spurs enjoying a rise in popularity like no other time before

Well I can see that happening around here that's for sure!

I for one want them to beat whoever comes out of the east.

Re: NBA 2012-2013

I'm glad to see the Spurs doing so well. I hated them when they used to beat up my Hornets, but now that the Hornets are lowly jobbers I kinda root for them. Like others, I just want to see the Heat lose. Spurs seem to be the last, best chance, so I'll be supporting them more strongly than usual.

Re: NBA 2012-2013

Where is all the Haters? They seem to scatter like rats when the Spurs win, yet when the Spurs lost last year I didn't go anywhere.

Spurs have haters?!? LOL. Outside of Lakers fans, I'm pretty sure everyone is rooting for SA. Even the Lakers fans are Spurs fans if they face the Heat.

No one scattered, whats there to post?

I might not like the Spurs, but never said they werent good

Always said class A organization

Alot of things lined up for them to be in the finals but they still had to beat who they played, kudos to them

That being said, still rooting for the Heat to steam roll them, but Im considering wagering on the Spurs, something tells me that this is their year now.

Re: NBA 2012-2013

Well Duncan is having one hell of a playoff run and the only way they beat the Heat is if he continues to do so. Props to him though, not easy to do at 37.
