The edge of the cloth is a concave curve over her hip at SDCC, now it's convex.
I still think it looks fantastic, I hope to buy one eventually.

I think they covered up some of the bum but I bet if you look just at the right angle the bare buttocks will still be there.

I prefer the new resculpt. The first one seemed too forced, like it was trying to appeal to teenage boys (or teenage men who really need to get laid once in a while)

Teenage Men....lol. Both poses look too forced. The first one definitely had sex appeal but the second one looks like someone drew a sexy Leia and was asked to cover it up so they colored over parts. They should have done away with the sculpt all together and given us something that would appeal to both camps easier. I'm passing because this definitely looks like a forced change and doesn't look all that great not because the tush is now covered...
Not sure... This one looks classier, they did a nice job with the drape of the fabrics, but somehow it doesn't match her facial expression, very strange. The sculpt seems off balance now, too heavy on the bottom that your eyes go downwards and focus on the fabric, and the back looks slightly off balance also. Overall a nice piece, best slave leia so far, just not sure if SS can come up with something better??? I wish it is an easier decision whether to get this or not.

That's the one area that I wish they did change.
Definitely an improvement. I'm glad they chose movie accuracy over fanboy fantasies (though isn't her loincloth supposed to be brown?)

The character is not portrayed that way and besides, that facial expression is aweful. Since we didn't see Leia's bare ass in the movie, I don't see why someone would want to in a statue of the character.

Exactly, it seems pointless that GG would go with a sultry pose and initially have a bit of sex appeal to the statue (showing part of her ass). Then at the last minute try to cover up the sex appeal without altering the sultry pose.
Seems like GG wants to have their cake and eat it too.
Someone on another forum made a good point that of course GG would show off the "sexy" version at SDCC. It would create a huge buzz about the piece, and Im sure they had no intentions of leaving it that way from the get go.
