Ok, I have officially given up... Gentle Giant for some reason doesn't seem to want our money or to make us happy as collectors so they continue to put out exclusive after exclusive, after exclusive, which are almost impossible to get without resorting to the secondary market. I was just looking over the summer exclusives and decided it just isn't worth it any more. I've already started breaking up the Harry Potter busts, so I guess the LOTR lines will go as well, and I won't even get into the POTC or Indy lines like I wanted to. Thank you GG, more making my life easier at SDCC this year!!

I hope there master chief and other 1/6 figures won't have multiple exclusive, be a right pain if i have to scan ebay for figures i want.

Yeah, I gave up just prior to the GG Collector's Club (or whatever they call it)announcement and sold off all my SW busts. It's better not having to keep up on all the xclusives, and everything else they make in sufficient numbers so that you can wait until it is released and even later to see if you really, really want it. Since I "quit" GG, I only bought the kneeling Vader FS, and then only after I saw the paint and everything about it was great.

I love you guys, but move on already! I gave up on Gentle Giant a long time ago. Granted I have never had a problem with something coming in from them. Still, hold true to your guns, give them the one finger salute, and walk away like with your head up high.

I just sick and tired of hearing all the belly aching over GG, yet in the end of the day you goes continue to be their whooping boys and/or girls.

As long as I can get a game accurate Master chief with Decent weapons, I'm happy. if not, there are Quite a few aftermarked 1/6 Master cheif weapons on blister cards I've seen lately.

It's amazing how everyone agrees how stupid GG is.

No matter what board you go on almost everybody agrees that they suck.


I gave up GG also. Their endless exclusives are just a major headache. I tried to keep up on them but gave up early last year.

The #1 major problem I had with them wasn't the exclusive but their horrible QC. Almost EVERY piece I bought from them had some kind of major flaw. I remember sending back 4 Roron maquettes to my retailer cause the paint was horrible.

The sad thing is that I would love to buy some of their stuff but I know in the end I would get screwed.

The only current line I buy from them is the POTC maquettes and now it seems that line is almost dead so I won't be buying anything else from them anymore.

Fortunately the LOTR exclusives suck ass this year and will probably be attainable near retail if wanted.

The HP bust line is still pretty weak as far as popularity so I'm not even concerned about those.

I feel bad for all those SW fans.



But I totally agree that GG could care less about what the customer wants :emperor

They contiue their business practices and hopefully they will lose more. But what will Bannister do?

I'd love to give them up, but I'm in the Potter busts for the long haul - the exclusives are a must have again this year (unlike the LotR ones). And if they are going to be doing 1/6 Trek - they've got me by the cojones.

I think that is what put me over the edge... the Weasley 2 pack exclusive (although I had already given up on the Potter line).

I have also been sucked into the Potter line. LOTR I can pick and choose and won't bother me that much and once I got the original movie SW busts, I was done with them. But the Weasley Twins are a must have for me. I hates GG. I hates them HARD!!!!
