NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration) is American. And "Serenity" is the dumbest name I've ever heard of for a flight vehicle. No offense. I mean, isn't "Serenity" a feminine hygiene product?

I'm assuming you never saw the show.

Absolutely missed the connection. :lol

I'm sorry. I know what this show is, but I've never seen it (despite multiple attempts made by my brother to watch it with him) and I'm not up on The Colbert Report, nor am I up on my precious NASA at the moment. I saw NASA on the main page and read maybe two or three of the last posts on the page that it took me to upon clicking the link. I'm ashamed of looking ignorant, but I still don't think that anything of NASA's should be named after a Joss Whedon show. No offense, he's a great director.

Actually, now that I think of it, naming a room in the space station after an adult diaper product is disgustingly appropriate, knowing the history of how astronauts used to go to the bathroom in space.

Well Space is generally serene and peaceful and that probably has something to do with the lack of humans there...
