I really like this animated Saruman. I have the Leia on preorder and she will be my first animated statue. GG is getting busy with this stuff.

GG has done well with SW pulling off the animated look. I wasn't very sure when I first read about these but they appear to be doing a good job with the early prototypes on LOTR.

SWEET! Can't wait to display these LOTR animated style maquettes with my SW ones! They'll compliment the 12" SW and LOTR figures on my shelves!

:D

haven't made up my mind 100% if i'm getting these yet bc i don't think they'd look right with my SSW statues.. and then the issue becomes.. where on earth would i put them? but we'll see.. Saruman sure is sweet.. and if i'm that excited over ONE of them, god knows what it will be like once i've seen them all...

Looks great. Hope Lurtz comes about, real soon. I also think the Hobbits will come off really well in a animated form.

I hope they make the beasts as well such as the Fell Beasts, Balrog, or even Treebeard (Full form). THis line would be amazing!! You can do so much with animated figures.....:chew

Remember, we are a few years into the Clone Wars animated line and there are a grand total of eight pieces. Assuming that they continue to release about three a year, it's going to take a LONG time to get all of the characters in the LOTR line. It's not like Star Wars where you have three or four main characters and a bunch of supporting players. LOTR is a huge ensemble all the way. It's going to take a long time, and there will always be holes in this line, no matter when they stop producing them...

That's very unfortunate but true. I hope GG does manage to produce a wide variety of characters, esp. the ones we haven't seen before.

Good point Tom, it is not as if GG is known for really "cranking" items out. :lol

While it is true the complete fellowship would be nice, I'm not a completist; I would just like to get the characters I like. Frodo/Gandalf/Nazgul/Treebeard/Sauron would interest me.
