500?!! Ouch, this one's going to be harder to get than Harry I think. GG is trying to set up a pre-order system for the SDCC exclusives - which is a great idea. Hope they do something similar to SSC rather than what they just did for the Black trooper.

Oh dear! This is terrible, horrible, no good, very bad news. I don't think I am going to be able to get this one, and I already have a complete collection of the Potter busts. Looks like my perfect record is about to get smashed...




But the good news is that they are having another "get cloned" contest. The winner will get scanned and become a Gentle Giant Star Wars bust. Wow!!!

Yeah, I put in pre-orders for these through some online retailers, looks like I'll be lucky to get one. Also, what about all those people who were screwed out of the BHStormie because of the ordering glitch. I'm assuming they will get first priority, leaving even less available.

But because of the BHStormie fiasco, there will probably there will be more on ebay (for outrageous prices) soon after con.

Have they announced ES for Hermione and Ron?

So the purchases for the SSDCC Gentle Giant exclusives begins on Preview Night the 19th? Or on the 20th?
I arrive on the 20th early morning but at least I can admit defeat now if they sell them on the 19th rather than when I arrive at the con.

In previous years, they've done a lottery in which they only sell so many each day. If that's the case again this year, there will be just as good a chance getting them later in the week as earlier.

They only did 500 exclusive Sirius' last year, so I suppose that's where they are getting the number. Still, the demand for these has skyrocketed since then.

They are trying to set up some sort of pre-order process, but hell if I know how they can do it so close to the show and not be asking for trouble.

Mike -- I've only just seen this on their blogsite (yesterday). Haven't seen anything else so far. Haven't received their e-mail either.

Danny -- we'll need to hold each other I'm thinking if we miss out on the preorder (if it happens that way) becuz of their so-far unreliable servers. Grrrrrrr! Worse yet, I'll be verrrrrry cranky during the Con and may not be good company.

Well this is even worse news for us non-attendees. I'm begging anyone and everyone to try to get an additional one of these. This is the one line that me and my girlfriend collect together and we both really love this piece.

I'm willing to give everyone here my cell # (only phone I have), if you can get one, just call to see if anyone has been able to get it yet. I'll pay for the bust, shipping, and a little something for your trouble.

We are feverishly working on getting all systems in place (without encountering those pesky errors) to take pre-orders online for our San Diego Convention Exclusives. We hope to have an announcement if this will be possible by next week.

That's from GG's website. It sounds like they are doing what SS did for the attendees. I guess that means I can't order one and have someone else pick it up for me but it would also mean I'd need someone here to order it and get it. This sucks! I hate living on the East Coast.

I'm with Mike though. Trying to set up a preorder system this close to the show is just asking for trouble especially with their track record so far.

Not that it would matter for me, being a non-attendee I eBay will be my route. Looks like I'll just end up paying more than I had hoped.
