Get Cloned Contest, Convention Pre-Orders and More
Just 3 Weeks Away...
San Diego Comic-Con is rapidly approaching and we here at Gentle Giant are working like crazy to make sure our we've got everything for the show ready. For those that are attending any part of the 5-day bonanza, we will be located in the same spot as last year in booth number 3513. We've got a ton of new and never before seen stuff planned, so drop by the booth and say HI to the GG crew.

Get Cloned Contest Is Back!
2003, saw Kevin Ormrod from Arizona being cloned into an EPII Clone Trooper. In 2004, Bob Swanek from California got cloned into a Stormtrooper. This year, at San Diego Comic-Con, it could be your chance to GET CLONED! Randomly packed into the Shocktrooper mini bust boxes will be a "Get Cloned" card to fill out and enter into the drawing to become an EPIII Clone Trooper. If you are one of the lucky few to find the card, you will need to make sure to see one of the GG representatives at the show to get 3D scanned. Limit of one entry per person. Entry is transferable. Entrant must be scanned at San Diego Comic-Con 2006 (Wednesday, July 19 - Sunday, July 23) to be eligible. Photocopied forms will not be permitted. One winner will be selected by random drawing. Odds of winning are dependent upon the number of entries received by the deadline. Winner will be announced at https://www.gentlegiantltd.com/ no later than August 31, 2006. Prize delivery may be up to 90 days from announcement.

Exclusives...
We are feverishly working on getting all systems in place (without encountering those pesky errors) to take pre-orders online for our San Diego Convention Exclusives. We hope to have an announcement if this will be possible by next week.

For those that haven't read on other boards the edition sizes for the convention exclusives are as follows:

Deluxe Shocktrooper mini bust with Shocktrooper Bust-Up - 3500 pieces
Lucius Malfoy as Death Eater mini bust - 500 pieces
We will also have the 2006 Exclusive Darth Vader FIRE Bust-Up available for purchase.

Gentle Giant is extremely excited to announce that along with the above mentioned exclusives, we will have a special Clash of the Titans rotocast figure exclusive to San Diego for purchase. And as a extra special treat for our Clash fans, we will have the man himself, Ray Harryhausen in our booth signing. Dates and times for signing will be posted closer to the show.

Gen Con isn't until August, but we've set the edition size for the exclusive Mara Jade mini bust at 2000 pieces. More information regarding purchase will be posted after Comic-Con.

Release Date Change
Here at Gentle Giant, we are always striving to make the best quality pieces. Sometimes this means delaying production to ensure the final piece meets our high standards. The Grievous mini bust, with all it intricate detail is one of these pieces that we are spending extra time to ensure high quality. So the release date has been pushed back from September to November.

It's hard to type while keeping my fingers crossed...

"Pesky errors"! Hiiiilarious! It looks like another one I'll miss out on. :monkey2

Even if GG did not fix there servers at all, this pre-order would not be half as bad as the BHS order. Hopefully they do it this way so we can relax at the convention.

Yeah, hopefully it won't be. I hope they do it so I can just walk up to GG booth whever I feel like it during SDCC.

The only way that could happen would be if they decided to make more than 500 of a single bust... :sick

Considering that a large amount of those 500 Malfoys are already promised to people who had their BHS order cancelled, the remaining busts won't last long at all. The Shock Troopers should last a little longer since they have a healthier edition size.

If there was somehow someway someone could get me a Shock Trooper, I'd be eternally grateful.

I know it's a long shot, but I thought I'd put my plea out there. :monkey3

True. While I think the offer was cool I don't think it was fair to those going to the conventions that people who missed out on the BHST bust get first dibs on the convention items basically.

Hopefully the BHS wronged won't go for the Malfoys and they'll be left over for the TRUE fans. I'd hate to be going to SDCC all 4 days and have NO chance at an exclusive that I really, really want.

I'm trying to cover all my bases but I'm still very nervous about the Malfoy bust.

In the same instance, some of the BHS wronged are getting the Malfoy to ensure that it goes to collector at cost price & not some of the scalping convention attendees

Yeah, hopefully most of the Malfoys go to those that actually want them. I'm not overally worried about the Shock because of being made to the tune of 3500 pieces.

I would appreciate any notice of when the Malfoy is going on sale. I have bought every HP piece for my wifes collection and deff don't want to miss out on this one.

The Sirius Black last year was very simple, I just went up to the counter and asked for it.
