GG slave leia custom

I want to cut the base and the skirt off my slave leia for the 12" jabba. I have seen the pics of others that have done this but I was hoping someone could give me a few pointers. Is there anything I should or should not do while cutting it off?

I don't know about getting it off the base (shouldn't be too hard), but do be careful taking off the skirt. There is a peg part of the skirt that connects to her rear end, so you'll have to putty and paint to get it smooth again.

If you are talking about the Gentle Giant Leia slave statue, then you should look at SilentSurfer's great custom, and he cmight help you with some tips too.
