I wish I liked it more, but I don't. I have the original comiquette Ex. so I don't see the need to own this more obscure reference as well. I really wanted to like this piece too.

Only the old west had broken flame issues.. The Modern and LSB had none for the most part..

I saw this in person and it is clearly much smaller than Doom..

I don't argue that, visually it looks smaller but SSC's site dimensions don't make much sense...

maybe ssc let this one fall off the boat, so that way they won't have it sitting in the warehouse for the next lifetime collecting dust.

don't get me wrong i don't dislike this piece, it's just that with 2-3 already far superior ghost rider related pieces. this one falls way short of the previous releases and just seems to be milking a product line way to much.
combine that with the fact that ssc seems to have way to much other must have product hitting right now, this one is surely going to be around for quite awhile.

kinda like the spiderman 3 over production marketing.

Thanks for the tip 2099..i did just that. None the less, I'm very disappointed with this piece I was one of the few excited for it, but that's all out the window. I have fallen victim to the poor QC of Sideshow. The crown accessory has a chip, on the back of his head the flame has a scratch that's easy to spot, and the arm rest on the throne has a chip. Talk about a lemon One cool thing, the crown has a magnet as does GR's head that makes it hold. There is no peg or anything for him to sit on the throne, you just kind of place him there. I get the overall feeling this one was rushed for whatever reason. Here are some pics. He is actually more in scale to Bowen stuff.

No problem. I've made A LOT of trips to that place in my area. I always miss my UPS driver, so I'm accustomed to the little sticky note on my door. I've got their address memorized now.

Sorry to hear about your QC issues. I too have fallen victim to that as well. Overall, the in-hand pics don't look too bad at all. Congrats on getting one at least (even though I know you said you're disappointed.) Keep updated on the return process. There's no telling how many replacements they have. I hope it doesn't turn into another ISM fiasco. I hope it all works out!

Saw it at SDCC last year and seeing it here again now, this piece does absolutely nothing for me. Seems like a money grab. You got an excuse to return it because of the defects. I'd do just that and wait for something quality to come along. Just cause it's Marvel doesn't mean there can't be a miss here or there.

Edit: and WTF is up with that boring ass throne? Nothing like Doom's throne. Again, MONEYGRAB. Missed all sorts of marks on this one. It's like they weren't even trying.

How do those work? (I didn't know such a thing existed.)

I called up UPS a while back about the dilemma and how I ALWAYS miss the driver. They said that the way those packages (ie Sideshow's) are shipped, it requires someone at that specific residence to sign for the package upon first delivery attempt, meaning no one else but the person who it's addressed to can sign for it. If that person is not there, they won't leave it. I normally leave a note on the door to have the neighbors sign for it and keep it for me, but the driver never does that. UPS explained that's why the driver always ignores the notice. So will the signature waiver allow me to bypass all of that and still have it left on the first delivery attempt without a signature (even when no one is home)?
