Worth checking out if you're a fan. It's from Cryptozoic. Gone up 3k in the past 20 minutes. Some nice incentives too.

I'm not a fan of those character designs, but any classic-ish Ghostbusters merchandise is a welcome thing.

First stretch goal is up, a plastic Ecto-1 instead of just an Ecto-1 token.

With Kickstarter, I believe cash is taken at the end of the funding period. So, 26 days from now. That doesn't necessarily mean production will begin right away or at all, though.

Couple things :

This is absolutely happening. They have the license, they are a well known company that makes board games. It will be out around October, maybe later.

You don't have to go in on this Kickstarter to get a copy. It'll be available at retail (more specialty stores tho) in October.

If you are going to get something off Kickstarter, go for the Mass Hysteria and other KS exclusives, those will never be re-released.

They tend to, and have said they intend to for this specifically, release more "stories" down the line. Meaning new game board tile pieces, objectives etc. to keep things fresh.

I'm more excited about getting the figures than the actual board game. I can see myself getting some people together and playing it though--at least for a couple times. It'll be interesting to see what other figures get thrown in for future stretch goals.

Two to go after Gozer. I'm thinking perhaps Vigo and Ivo Shandor? Or maybe The Boogeyman? Sam Hain?

And I'm a huge fan of Dan Schoening and his run on IDW's Ghostbusters. Have some of his GB prints and stuff from before they picked him up. Would love if someone did a line of figures based on the comics.
