Guess I'm living in a pipe dream to find someone with a Cobra trooper/officier uniform for sale/trade... Impossible to find in blue...

Patience. These things always come around. In fact, I was close to having one for you. I was looking to win an auction on ebay that had a bunch of kitbashed Cobra Troops with a lot of Sideshow gear. If I had the money at the right time. I would have gotten that auction and you would have your uniform.

The point of the whole story is that this stuff is always cycling around. Just keep watching the sale/trade threads on this website and rebelscum and Ebay as well and one will turn up.

Probably depends on what you're willing to pay. Throw out a number and if it's enticing enough, you'll get one. I have one that I might let go, but not for cheap because I don't wanna be in the same position you're in a year from now if I sell too low.

I've been searching for like 2 months now. I missed that auction because it wasn't in my saved search results so it never spiked a hit.

Thanks it's really thoughtful of you.

On ebay the desert uniform + helmet and scarf are going for 49$ including shipping.

Re: GI JOE Kitbash Parts Help Thread

Yea saw that Trooper auction as well, good sideshow bits but a long of junk too. Not worth the closing price.

That price isn't that bad if it is something you need. You could also just buy a boxed figure and sell/trade off the bits you don't need.

Normally, I would agree with you. But I felt overall that there was enough to sell off to at least make the cost of what I kept a little more acceptable.

Re: GI JOE Kitbash Parts Help Thread

250 for 8 figures? I would think that's a great deal. I don't like the additions he made with the body armor, but as long as the main gear is there that's a good deal.

Re: GI JOE Kitbash Parts Help Thread

I totally would have, but I didn't have the money at the time. Are you keeping them intact, or are you going to break them up?

I'm breaking them down now. I have 3 on Hot Toys bodies and the other 3 on BBi 3.5 bodies. I'm going for the original Sideshow Trooper look. Now I just have to find some heads. With the officer if it goes right I'll make a Scar-Face

Re: GI JOE Kitbash Parts Help Thread

Anyone have advice for adding a visor to a helmet? I'm bashing Short Fuze. I'm using bbi swat helmets, which have a piece that looks like a visor mounts to.

Re: GI JOE Kitbash Parts Help Thread

I'd just cut a piece of thin plastic from a package or something.
