I plan on offering all my GI JOE tattoos and patches for sale, so everyone can have which ever style the want. I've sold a couple of the EG&A already just gathering picture of everything install/applied before I open up a sales thread.
Thanks SE171!
Sleeveless shirt sure would be easier to find, what comic is that from?
i think the original figure IS cut off sleeves & has just been misinterpreted...
I'd like to respectfully disagree. I always felt the original was a flak vest. Many of the early Joes had a very Vietnam era style to them, due to the time (early 80's). I think Gung Ho was modeled after the soldiers who wore no shirts under their flak vests.
Maybe the figure was, the cartoon on the other hand was a shirt.
As far as 1/6 version goes unless you can find a vest with NO padding & that is too small a sleevless shirt is the only way to make it look right open.
I agree, the cartoon seemed more like a cut off shirt. On my custom, I did take the padding out. No real way to make the vest smaller, but I think it looks pretty good open. There are pics of my custom on here, I'm at work so I can't post them now, but I will later.
