indeed. you own one of this and he looks like he just jumped out from the screen and is about to hack you with his huge ass axe. this statue is so life like real its on a league on its own. No 1/6 scale in a billion light years will be able to compare to this

Are we talking about the old SSW 1/6 line?
If yes, the new ones are way better imo.

Yes the new SS Maquette/Statue is far more detailed and life like.

But the SSW version has the history.

I think you will have to admit there is quite a lot of charm to it.

I have and love them both.

I prefer the SSW Gimli to the new maquette.

It's all personal opinion and taste though.

Both statue line are winners IMO both have done a great job of capturing the characters I love.

Regarding the banner sets, I was under the impression that the bases were much larger which has prevented me from ordering them due to lack of space behind my statues. Are they really as small as you've shown them or did you make some smaller versions of your own? I'm also unfamilar with the banners on the top shelf. I haven't seen it as part of the set that I've seen advertised. Did you make it or get it from some other source?

Hi gfdill,

You're right, I exchanged the big bases with some smaller ones I made. The flag stands are not glued very strong to the base, so it doesn't get damaged and can be replaced again. You just need a wooden base of your choice, flat black acryllic colour and semigloss clear varnish, pretty easy work.
The top 2 banners are my own custom creations, the other 3 can be bought on the web.
