And of course, Numidia is the last bastion of freedom. Nevermind it had been a colony of the Roman Empire for some 3 centuries by then. And don't even get me started on the portrayal of the emperors.
As I said, being interested in Roman history, there's no way I could enjoy this one.

Yeah I get the impression Ridley wanted those nutty, impulsive, power mad emperors with bad hair to represent something, but who knows what that could be....
