Bummer it seems to be on a Buck body... the old GoHero body was pretty decent. Going with a Buck-like is a pretty big step backward.

Just got this guy today... While he isn't fantastic right out of the box, once I got him off the mediocre body and onto a Hot Toys TT, I found that I quite like him!

That is just a quick phone pic- I plan on doing a full review this weekend.... But as a lifelong Shadow fan, I can say that I feel this figure (with some work) fulfills my need for a solid representation of the character just fine. :)

Sallah, that looks good! How easy was it to move the head, hand and feet over to the truetype?

Not too bad. The head pulls off pretty easily and fits onto the Hot Toys Narrow Shoulder neck plug well (I may end up gluing it on permanently, but it doesn't fall off or anything like that as-is). The hands can plug on the Hot Toys wrist pegs and stay on well, but they aren't quite as tight of a fit as the Ht hands are. Adding a layer of super glue onto the HT wrist peg stem and making it just a smidge bigger will probably help... But again, they did fit on and stay on as-is.

The feet were a little trickier. You can't pull off the Shadow feet (or at least I couldn't), but you can take off the socks and shoes. I didn't have any HT feet available, so I just used a set of Kaustic Plastik feet I had sitting around. They were pretty much the exact same size as the existing Shadow feet. The socks and shoes slipped right on them, and then I just plugged those onto the HT body. Now the HT Narrow Shoulder feet might be the exact same size as the KP feet I used... but I don't have any to compare so I can't say for sure on that.

Oh- One more thing... His pants were a little long with normal HT ankle pegs. I ended up putting the longer pegs on him and that works just fine though.

Hope that helps!

Nice. I haven't messed with mine anymore. :lol

Will swap it over to a TT and ship the head off to Skiwoman for a repaint.

The more I play around with this guy, the more I dig it... Not a perfect piece, but it is a ton of fun.

Not sure who here follows Go Hero over on Facebook... but just in case you don't, they just announced three new 1/6th scale projects recently- The Claw, The Spider,.... and DOC SAVAGE!!!! He should look great next to The Shadow!

I am so torn on this. If I buy it, I am going to want to upgrade him and I have to buy another freaking Hot Toys Narrow body!

Here is my updated version. Skiman repainted the head and I used a Saturday Toys suit, Headplay Body and SS Toht shoes. I like him much more now. Just need to find some better fourtyfives.

Want to see an Alec Baldwin HS with the huge schnoz.

"The Shadow nose!" :lol

BBTS has the exclusive version of this figure on clearance for $79.99. You won't find a better deal for this out there.

I bitterly regret not taking advantage of that opportunity.

I look at this figure and see mostly its many flaws, and yet I really want to photograph it.

If anyone has one they'd sell for a fair price, let me know!

Sigh, I'd still really love to have a custom of the movie Shadow someday. As far as cool costumes from underrated movies go, it's right up there with the Rocketeer for me.

I saved a pic ages ago of one that someone made, but I'm not sure where I could find a trenchcoat like that myself:

While this might be a figure that's a decade behind what was released at the same time, I am glad to have a licenced figure of this character.
