Personally, I really like the Sakai figure. Just got him last week and I think he'll go very well with the Biollante. Wow, 89 is the one X-Plus sculpt I have in three different forms. Standard 30 cm, standard 25 cm, and Sakai.

I see some of the 89 Sakai X-plus sold for a ridiculous premium though on ebay. Man, What's up with that.

Also that Ghidorah looks pretty sick. But again, I'm wondering how the final product will match to the display picture. For something ~300 you'd expect some high quality stuff. But same could be said about the x-plus sakai, which could have been a bit better quality.

Shipped him out today actually.

I can't help it if i'm an uncultered swine.

I received the Sakai today. I really like the figure. My only complaint on it is the height. It would be nice if it was 12" tall. The details in the figure are really well done. And for those who have not dealt with Jye before, he is a great Freak to deal with.

I have to say, you blew me away with this one. I don't think I truly understand what I was buying...well everything that I was buying. For some reason, I was surprised the Ebirah was the same size as Godzilla. I must have expected that Ebirah was going to be tiny, like just an accessory. So when I saw how big Ebirah was, and thaty it came with an Mothra AND a condor on top of it, I was totally blown away. Such a great piece. Thank you so much, you have really hooked me up BIG time each time.

You know, technically you could consider that the 1999 Godzilla, rather than a special color 2000. The suit was the same but had the silver colored dorsal fins.

No, in Godzilla 2000 and Godzilla vs Megaguirus both, the suit based, on this concept design from Yuji Sakai, featured purple spines, this is a color variant but more true to the original maquette which did not feature purple spines.
