If Yamazaki is hands on with approval of their work too, they might be having a hard time getting his approval. Some of their pieces take creative liberties, I don't know if he'll go for that.

I wonder if Prime 1 might make a Godzilla from this movie? Or do they only have a license for the Legendary stuff? I don't collect much Godzilla but would totally get a statue if they made one.

Or maybe someone will come out with a resin kit...

As you can tell I'm just completely obsessed with this movie right now. 😄

That's true, I would have expected X-Plus to put something up by now. I assume we'll get a Gigantic -1 and probably a 25-30m version plus the island version in some scale. I'd love a Gigantic -1 figure. I really liked the skin detail and color variations which wasn't something the older Godzilla designs had.
I liked this as well but really loved that they were able to do it and still make me feel nostalgia for the OG Godzilla look...

Prime 1 already announced.

As for resin kits, they might get made, but these days, those are typically small runs of like 20-100 pieces and sold at places like Wonderfest and are harder to come by. Most main stream pieces that are easy to obtain are vinyl.

It all depends on if this remains in the theater until my friend returns from Vegas... or if my friend returns from Vegas.

Showings have been extended to 12/21 in select theaters, the movie continues to keep life in theaters.

On one hand, I'm excited at the success, on the other hand, I'm frustrated because it delays a home release.

Spend the money man, support the artists !!!

Unless it's a monstrous hit (and even then it's highly unlikely) it won't support the artists in any way shape or form - particularity on a low budget film like this - distributors and marketing BS will chew it all up.

A one degree of separation quote from Tarantino: "Make sure you get a huge amount upfront, because you'll never see another cent at the backend."

Some do... but it's a tiny percentage that swim in those waters. Just ask Peter Jackson what he had to go through on LOTR's to see his backends.

The commentary on the current status of Hollywood cinema can not be overstated when discussing the significant impact that Godzilla MO success has had on the industry as a whole.

Keep in mind that up until Shin Godzilla in 2016 Godzilla movies we’re still using intricate yet unfortunately still toy looking miniatures for their destruction and monsters in suits while Hollywood had already created realistic cgi for Jurassic Park in 1993 a full TWENTY THREE years before TOHO used cgi for Shin!

23 years! :thud:

The man in suit Godzilla when he bit another monster you could easily tell it was fake teeth biting into a thick rubber costume it didn’t look even remotely realistic lol

Now comes the masterpiece GMO with high quality levels of affordable cgi with a 15 million dollar budget! :thud:

Not even Hollywood cinema possession/slasher horror movies with very little cgi cost that little to make and horror movies are known as the cheap movies here.
