Hi all,

Been out of 1:6 for a while & have only just started on SW figures & well I went spend nutty on the weekent & bought:

1:6 Dewback & Sandtrooper (Hasbro)
1:6 leather saddle for the above
1:6 Tusken Raider (gaffi stick type) (Kenner)
2 x custom head sculpts
2 x 10cm cold cathode tubes for either light sabers or blaster bolts
And an assortment of clothes that I can do a Jedi bash on.

Watch this space for updates.

Cheers,

DL

Not crazy cost wise, gust a big jump back into 1:6

1:6 Dewback & Sandtrooper (Hasbro) $110
1:6 leather saddle for the above $35
1:6 Tusken Raider (gaffi stick type) (Kenner) $45
2 x custom head sculpts $40
2 x 10cm cold cathode tubes for either light sabers or blaster bolts $30
And an assortment of clothes that I can do a Jedi bash on. $65

$325....... Oh wait a min! :slap

Agree, you've been out too long and overpaid. But if you are happy, that is all that matters.

I should have said:

29 for the DB & Sandtrooper, the rest for shipping to Aust, I checked I didn't get robbed on that. Never cheap to ship down under & I couldn't source one locally.

sorry about your loss......:dunno

Should have used the funds on SSC Star Wars, not Hasbro. And I'm a Hasbro fan still. You could have got several much better figures for that much money.

I'm going to move this over to the custom section as it seems that these'll be used for some creations. Good luck.

Yes, but as he said shipping prices to Australia can be pretty high. How much of the total was shipping? And are these Australian dollars we're talking about?

That does make more sense... I was assuming the costs were what the items were selling for w/o shipping added.

Hasbro items can have a place in a high-end collection with a bit of work. And I'm sure there are people that enjoy the aesthetic of their 1/6 work

owwww nice!! I love your get stuck in approach!! The Dewback is a great one to play with. You can really go to town on the paintjob and the saddle is a must and makes a massive difference. Some folks have filled the leg joints which I think is a grande idea.
The tusken has been on my list ever since I joined the forum and there has been some AMAZING ones done and they are well worth checking out. Ask folks as many questions as you like as everyone will give you guidance, helpful hints and sack loads of encouragement. I cant wait to see what you get up to!!! :)

Yeah , ignore the above misery guts' s and get stuck in . :lol

You'll probably only end up using the outfit and a few bits of the Tusken but it's still the basis of a relatively simple and rewarding bash .

I have just recently got into customizing for the first time. I agree with Dorgs and TG just jump right in! The waters warm. I don't even want to begin to calculate the money I have spent. But worth every penny cause I enjoy doing it.

Aye nice haul and got to get stuck into my two Tusken Raiders one day.

Jump in and look at it this way, no company hasd made a toy which didn`t need work in some form, no matter the price ;)

I'm Looking forward to what you come up with! Good luck, and don't hesitate to ask any questions. I can help you out with the sabers if you need it.
