BBTS is really getting ahead of themselves on putting these up for PO. Good Smile Company only has Leonardo available and he's listed with a June release date. BBTS has Leonardo coming out in April, Mikey out in March, and Raph out in July.

I honestly don't understand why there isn't more talk about these. I grew up on the cartoon version of TMNT and originally was out looking for the old playmate cold cast or the sideshow rehash. Those are still pretty cool but when I stumbled upon these images my mind was immediately changed. As a 31 year old adult, these satisfy both my inner child and my need for TMNT to feel more adult. I will always cherish my childhood TMNT, but I wish the things I loved as a child would grow with me into adulthood. It’s like they're all stuck in this kid zone paradise and as I grow, that whole the world is a happy safe place facade fades and you begin to experience real life. This rendition of the turtles looks like they have been exposed to just that.

George RR Martin hit the nail on the head at a Carolina con when he said the reason he loved Spiderman so much was because he was one of the first non-generic super heroes that actually aged and experienced a youth of growing up. I believe Spidey still capped out at some point and joined the others frozen in time but his audience was privy to his experiences in high school and college. My point is, I’m glad I’m not just seeing cartoon TMNT out there.

These TMNT statues produced by Good Smile based on James Jean illustrations feel more adult. They remind me of TMNT #1 with a mix of anime. Some may disagree but I appreciate art/entertainment in all its forms. One of the reason I personally don't buy statues is because they have a singular pose and you either like it or you don't. They are also generally more expensive. These statues are among the few I've ever looked at and instantly fell in love with. Plus at $129.99 ea. shipped that's just too good for me to pass up on.

I agree. These are actually the first TMNT statues I've even considered buying. Others were too cartoony, ugly, or expensive. These are exactly the kind of updated version I've been hoping for so I'm in for the set.

I bit the bullet today and pre-ordered all four (4) turtles. A year from now, I know I would regret it if I didn't get them.

I will have to sell some old collectibles to keep up with this year.

non scale, but comparable to 1/7 or 1/8 scale, Leo is only about 11 inches to top of sword including base

You didn't miss it. Still time. GSC stated they are non scale. If they were actually scaled, guesses are 1/6, - 1/8.

Do you have to pre order them all from the Good Smile Website to get the free Print of the drawing? I read on the website if you order all 4 they include the print for free. I know nothing about this company, but love the look of these statues.
