Just got the PF Vader and its awesome. Surprised to hear some mixed reviews, I think. Hard to imagine. I'm sort of picky but it looks great. The light up feature does wonders. It's a nice touch.

For me it is a "WOW" piece. Very happy with it. Easily the best in the line, it gives me alot of hope for the future of the line. Would of rather seen luke with a Sader so I can set up a fight between the 2, but I guess I'll wait for Old Ben. For now Vader will be next to Sauron.

Some Tips. You have to be very carefull with Vader. The glossy paint is fragile and can be easily scratched so watch putting the foot-peg in. It might not be a bad idea for SS to start giving out detailed instructions on removal of the "Big Ticket Items". It may help people from damaging the item. The cape was a pain to connect, and had alittle trouble putting in the saber, but it all worked out. :banana

Mine came today and I couldn't agree with you more. I really like this one!

Congrats guys! I've never been so in awe of any prop or collectible I have ever owned. Easily the centerpiece of my collection.

Received my Vader PF yesterday and OH MY GOODNESS, amazing figure. Took my time opening it and when it was all setup I noticed a piece of loose plastic in the box, probably took me 10 minutes of looking before I noticed it was from the "crotch guard"(for lack of a better description). Yep, broke in half so I have to return it now and wait for 3-4 weeks probably. Oh well I'll look at it this weekend before the daunting task of repackaging it. I will always buy direct, it's worth the extra money to me to know that if this happens I can send it back with no problem(fingers crossed).

Does anyone know if they repair them or send a "new" one. If it's a new one, I assume you get a new edition number..???

I received Lord Vader today. Impressive, most impressive. I controlled my fear as I accomplished the daunting task of attaching the cape. You need very small fingers to attach the chain.

I also had to look at the box to see how the lightsaber was to be placed. Anyone else notice the peg on the saber is not straight, but at an angle?

Mouse Droid is cute, like the rolling wheels, but what the heck is the hook on the back of it for?

The light up mechanism is cool, now if only he would speak.

I've noticed quite a few people mentioning broken parts. Is the plastic that brittle? I hope the 1/6 figures don't have this problem.

It's more of a packaging issue than anything, so I don't think the 1/6 action figures will have the same problem; although, I'm sure that they could develop some of the same problems that the Hasbro 12 inchers had with the twisty-ties. So far, I've only read about 10-15 different instances where there were "real" problems with the PF Vader, so it doesn't seem to be widespread. Here's hoping SS goes back to the foam packaging for future 1/4 SW releases.

Also, keep in mind that the 1/6 action figures are more a toy unlike the PF line, so they should be able to take more abuse from being played with and such.

I can't believe I did this, I put Vader's Cloak on inside out. The shiny part goes on the inside. It was much easier to clasp it the right way!

Vader looks so cool in the dark with the lit saber and chest panel.

I wish Sideshow would make Obi-wan have a light up saber too, then it would look awesome!

Your wish is granted! Obi-Wan will also come with a light-up saber.

Cool! The Duel Scene will be a great display!

I agree with those who think Vader is the best PF Figure they have done, I don't think it can be topped. This is my first PF Figure in my collection, it is gonna be all downhill from here.

Any chance that you have Grievous on order? If anything can top Vader, he would be the one.

The mouse 'tail' is to tow other droids I believe. Some SW Freak may be able to verify this.

Nope, I had to cancel. I know I cannot get all the PF figures, that is alot of cash. I really don't like Grievous that much, he was a coward and a sick alien. Vader rules.

Grevious wasn't sick he had his lungs force crushed by Mace right before he took flight(which was the beginning of Ep III).

That wasn't in ROTS movie, how did you know that?

Either sick or injured, he is a coward who runs from a fight.

The Grievous PF will be impressive, the cloak on the SSE looks great, but $450 is alotta dough.

Back to Vader, I know some other companies make a Vader, and Attakus is very expensive, but does Attakus Vader have real clothing and a light up saber? If not, Sideshow is the more impressive figure. Like alot of people, I can't stop looking at it, a great work of art!

it's in the book "Labyrinth of Evil", which ends right where ep. III starts. it's a prequel to the movie.

I agree with your comments about the SSC vader, he is incredible. it's as if they took the real thing and shrunk it down. incredible.

Yes, that is exactly what I mean. Turn off the lights and then light up Vader and you can imagine the scenes from the movies.

Now, why didn't they install a small speaker and have Vader breathing, that would be scary!

Thanks, now I understand. I know there are tons of Star Wars novels out there, heck it takes up a whole shelf at Barnes and Noble. The only Star Wars Book I have ever read is "Star Wars" by George Lucas. I thought it was very good.

My Vader should be shipping next week and Obi-Wan should be coming soon from SS. I may have to go after the exclusive GG.
