Because everytime I see a random 20 yr old mouth breather with a buzz cut, I can't help but think, "that guy looks just like Jim Gordon!"

Check this guy out :

Deadringer for Gordon. :rolleyes2

Because Jim Gordon has always looked like a 50-year old dad? "Here we have a photo of James Gordon, circa 1978, at, approximately, age 18 months:

Hey, If the series runs for 20 years so he can grow into the character, far out. My bet? It's Fox and it's done after a year of some random cop procedural.

Woah, that little girl looks like a young, kid Michelle Pfeiffer. How the hell did they manage that?

Also saw pics of Thomas and Martha Wayne. Martha Wayne's hair looks whacked. It looks like it takes place in the BTTF 2015.

wow the kid playing bruce looks the part still dont like the girl playing selina.

Pretty sure she had curlers in her hair still which would no doubt be taken out before the camera rolled.

Yeah, I'm sorry about that. I actually found the coinciding scene in the script, if you want to read it.

"Gotham: A Swell Place to Live!"
By David R. Krumowitz

[EXT. A dark alley, A stranger approaches the Wayne Family]

Martha Wayne: Excuse me, sir, would you watch our son while we take a short nap?

Good Samaritan: Sure thing, ma'am; would an hour be okay?

Martha: Yeah, that'll be fine. My husband and I were up really late last night, and we just needed a little bit of power sleep.

GS: Well, I'll wake you back up in an hour.

10 minutes later:

GS: Hey kid, I'm out of cigarettes. Will you be okay watching your parents for a couple of minutes, while I run to the Swift-Stop?

Bruce Wayne: Yeah, I'll be okay...I think.

GS: Cool. I'll be right back. Do you want anything to drink, while I'm there?

Bruce: Could I get a Spritz Soder?

GS: Sure thing! Be right back!

[Close-Up on Bruce's Face; third person narration]

Bruce: That man's kindness and generosity has inspired me. I shall become a protector of those who wish to sleep in the night; I shall become...Napman!

Yes Im pretty psyched for this show, CANT WAIT!! The casting to me looks great. Selina looks awesome!! And its kind of cool how much she does look like Michelle Pfeiffer :)

But really all this hating on the show is nonsense. Hasn't even been made yet. Once it airs and then its not good, fine. But gotta wait until its released. I hate all these fan candid pix from behind the scenes and then people start judging movies and tv shows from them. kind of ridiculous.

And right now, I just hope its better than Agents of Shield. Especially the acting. I keeping watching it hoping it will get better, but for me just hasn't.

This is one case where I think that even the set pics are pretty good. Those pics of Wayne and his parents get me really excited for the show.

Personally, I just feel they set this too far back in time. If only the pilot was this time period, that would be fine and would set up the series nicely, but from all accounts, it looks like the series will be set in this time period. Before Bruce is Batman. Before Gordon is of any notable rank. Before the crime in Gotham has gotten to the point it needs Batman. I just don't get what they are trying to do. I really feel the show needed to be during, or at least the beginning of Batman's time but showing things more from the side - the police's perspective rather than Batman's. I'd even be fine if the best view of Batman we'd get would rival Bigfoot footage. But I think the villains and dealing with them from the police stand point would have been an awesome show. This, I don't know what its supposed to be. Its not like they are trying to build up to something or set something up :dunno

And I mean, at least give Gordon some glasses and/or a stache. He's just a generic TV detective right now :slap

You know your show sucks when all you have to look forward to is the main character growing a mustache.

Season 1, he starts to grow a little stache in the finale! Season 2, it's getting there! Season 3, he finally sees an eye doctor!

that is what would have made the most sense and what most fans were expecting probably.

I know we all have to "wait until it airs and how can you hate a show before bla bla" But this really doesn't sound that awesome. Or that different from a regular cop show.

I'm afraid that is what it will be - just another cop show. Except this one takes place in a fictional city! :lol

I mean if they actually use Batman villains, they'll end up being quite a bite older than Bruce by the time he becomes Batman. And outside of Penguin, Ra's Al Ghul, the Ventriloquist, and maybe Mr. Freeze, most of Batman's villains aren't really much older than him. And I think the real appeal to this show would be normal cops trying to deal with super villains and eventually accepting the fact they need Batman's help (even if he was mainly off screen or in the shadows - heck have Kevin Conroy voice him if they never actually show him in plain sight).

I mean I'll give the show a shot, but I think even CW would have handled this better (and I almost prefer that they had so they'd have potential cross overs with Arrow and Flash). They really couldn't have picked a worse time period to focus on.

To be fair, though, they could always do a time jump, a la Boardwalk Empire, if they don't think the show will be on long enough to get where they're headed, and, in a way, they sort of already have their excuse, if ever it comes to that. In the comics, Gordon transfers to Gotham from Chicago; you could always change it to where he's coming back to Gotham; if you make it 5 seasons, or so, and you think 6 is it, have the season end with Gordon transferring to Chicago; 17-year old Bruce leaves for his expedition, and so forth. Then, season 6 has a 5-7 year time jump. Gordon comes back to Gotham, you hear reports of disturbances with a homeless man attacking prostitutes, etc., and end it with Bruce putting on the cowl.
