Re: GTA V - September 17, 2013

I'm getting special edition. Was very close to getting the collectors but it was $200. The special was just $82. In the end I think the special editin has more than enough goodies.

Hey, just wondering if anybody here is getting the collectors edition. I'm debating, right now I'm torn between the special and the collectors edition.

Re: GTA V - September 17, 2013

I'm not so sure. GTA V looks pretty impressive, technically, but there were a lot of technically impressive games last year, and look what won that one; a heavy drama, low gameplay game. TLOU has some incredible gameplay, and as much weight as anything in The Walking Dead had. I'm not saying that GTA V won't have a great story, but I'm just saying that it's going to be a tough competition. That being said, **** those games, Arkham Origins all the way!:lol

Re: GTA V - September 17, 2013

It's not GTA's story that wins, it's what you can do with the game.

Re: GTA V - September 17, 2013

I know that there's a ton you can do with the game, I even said that it was technically very impressive, and, frankly, I look forward to having a hell of a lot of fun with it, but my point is that doesn't automatically make it Game of the Year. There were some technically impressive games last year, too, yet they got beat by a glorified point and click with a heavy dramatic story.

Re: GTA V - September 17, 2013

GTA always had ****ty storylines. TLOU is lightyears beyond this in terms of story, I see it already. GTA always gets GOTY because of the grand scale of the game, but every GTA release is rinse and repeat with better graphics.

TLOU is nothing but a rinse repeat of games before it also just another zombie/infected game IMO, only thing it had going for it is Graphics, the gameplay was generic, story was Meh as hell and nothing special. Very over hyped

Did you play it blind folded and with ear plugs?

Re: GTA V - September 17, 2013

TLOU is definitely overrated. I had a good time with it, but i bought into the hype and was like WTH!
I agree with Gamespot's score 8/10. I'd put RDR's story above it no doubt.

Re: GTA V - September 17, 2013

GTA V will be great, but all of them are overrated. They essentially are the same game over and over and over with nothing innovative at all. It will only get GOTY because it's bought strictly based on the title.

It's the same **** with the same Madden and COD year to year.

Gonna be different this time around i think. Some innovation..

Underwater world =New
Online portion = totally revamped Apartments, Jets, etc.
Weapons mechanics= reworked.
Pets = new
Stocks bonds

And that's just all i can think of.

Not to mention it's the biggest open world game yet.
