Online has been confirmed as 16 players back when the online trailer launched.

The most accurate map so far, being compared with GTA5 achievement picture, and overlaying parts of the blue prints teased on the collectors editions is fanmade by a member of the GTA forums called Zombie elvis.

Well if it's legit, I figured I would point out there seems to be two other airports aside from the LAX at the bottom.

Its not legit. Just fan made speculation from screenshots,parts of blueprint and what the people who have been demo'd the game have said. We already know there is more than one airport, there is also a military base. The one on the right of the map is an airstrip you see the cargo plane taking off from in the online trailer.

There is a whole thread on the GTA Forums dedicated to mapping los Santos. 1000+ pages of people cross referencing screenshots and real life locations etc, its pretty cool although thanks to current leaks the place is crawling with spoilers.

I just hope that Los Santos isn't the only good sized portion of the game and there is at least towns in the country side that are about 2/5 LS. In San Andreas we had San Fierro and Las Venturas, I'm not expecting that size but I just don't want a giant city with little inky dinky towns that are only 4 square blocks outside of it.

There is another town apparently called north yankton. How big it is we don't know yet. Though with sandy shores being a trailer park town,a smaller town just behind Mt chilliad and maybe other places we don't even know about yet i wouldn't worry too much.

Some of the places throughout LS and blaine county

We will not see towns on the scale of lost santos or half out in the countryside but im pretty sure they will still be a good size.The reason being, San andreas hence its title was ALL of San andreas which is made up of LS, SF and LV. While GTAV is set in san andreas it is only focused on Los santos and the surrounding countryside.

This image gives a great sense of scale to the map.

Cape Catfish reminds me of the marina that was next to the Golden Gate Bridge in SA. When I think about it I'm glad they are only focusing on one city and not 3 medium sized cities.

I just hope they are truthful in saying it won't be an open dead world. Although I think it is the truth, it's just scars of playing so many sandbox games with nothing to do quickly.

While the countryside will not be as busy as LS, but there will be plenty of things going on outside of LS. Hell r* have said there are 5x as many peds in V compared to IV. Its going to be crazy seeing what they get up. The one thing i hope they have done is improve the traffic AI.

And wildlife. The countryside in San Andreas was very boring aside from Mount Chiliad.

You mean like Montgomery in GTA SA? Guess stuff like this will happen again. Why not.

I don't mind small towns, but some of the towns in SA just felt way too small. The northern desert section had better filler towns.

Apparantly for Animals there is:
Cougars
Bears
Deers
rats
squirrels
Cows
Horses
Seagulls
Sharks
bobcats
rabbits
wolves
goats
crows
mountain lion
insects..i.e moths butterlys etc
and more

They have an ecosystem for animals..so the countryside will be alive
