I had to resurrect this thread (and why not? It's an awesome thread!) cause last night I committed one of the cardinal sins of browsing for stuff on auction sites while whacked out on ambien.

Anyone ever been there? Sometimes you wake up and you're like "Oh cool, I bought that?" and others you wake up and you're like "Oh god...I bought THAT??:

Well.....one of my favorite movies of the last decade or so was Django Unchained. And I LOVED the poster. The Japanese poster I saw in the lobby here in Japan that is.

As far as I know, this was the American lobby poster:

And THIS striking image, which evokes the rising sun of Japan, was used here:

Now poster aficionados, by all means feel free to correct me. I know it's entirely possible/likely that the rising sun image was used the US or other markets as well, but I just absolutely love it.

So the big question is....what will I get from the auction site? I already paid, but the seller took the pic down!! I guess it'll be like a Christmas surprise...could be awesome, or could be a lump of coal in my stocking.

The lesson here kids is: ambien and bidding on stuff DON'T mix!!

Yeah' the Rising Sun was my fav of the US 1 sheet posters released for the film at the time.But I have to say it looks way more cool with the Kanji.Nice pickup Otomofan.

I do not own one so here is a shot of the US one sheet from Heritage.

I am a also fan of posters, you can find them everywhere in my room, posters of my favourite lil peep. Even lil peep merch is not selling posters that sells a huge variety of lil peep products, Really disappointed
