Loved the first Green Lantern animated movie produced by the people making this.

If there is a thread for this already, blame the search function which sucks at the moment

Very cool, thanks for posting!

Only thing I'm disappointed about is that this isn't going to have anything to do with the "Emerald Knights" GL story where Kyle went back in time and teams up with Hal (all this happened post-Parallax, so this was Kyle's first time to see Hal as a hero).

Starring the actual person who SHOULD'VE been the Green Lantern.

:exactly:

Nathan Fillion > Ryan Reynolds

If only we could get Bruce Timm to make a Firefly cartoon.

They mentioned wanting to maintain a consistent animation style to First Flight. I wonder is this considered a true sequel?

This movie was pretty great. It's a collection of stories from "Tales of the Green Lantern Corps" and features many different lanterns. Best of the bunch is the tale of Bolphunga and Mogo. Roddy Piper voices Bolphunga, need I say more?

Overall, I think it's really great for GL fans, but newcomers coming in from the movie might be put off by the lack of Hal.

My only gripe is
They show a lantern (Galius Zed?) get killed in a story, and then show a dude who looks just like him in the very next scene. Kinda jarring.

I'm picking this up today. Worth it for BD + Digital Copy or just vanilla DVD?

I went with the BD combo since it was only $16.99 ($4 more than DVD) at Amazon. Honestly though, I could survive with the DVD versions of a lot of these DC animated features.

I'm a sucker for the Digital copy, especially since I got an iPad.

Just finished watching this. Very well done. Much more entertaining than First Flight. I'd be in for more of these "tales of the GLC Corps" kind of movies.

Went with the BD Combo pack, by the way.
