I'm gonna go get a copy tomorrow or Friday and watch it over the weekend. I like the WW DVD so I think I'll like GL just as much.

Finally got my blue ray of First Flight and couldn't be more happy, I really think the last three I've gotten New Frontier, Wonder Woman and now this have really been top notch. Thought Doomsday was ok, could have done without Gotham Knights but these last three have been good stuff.
Only thing I really didn't like and it was a minor issue was that:
I wouldn't have minded another 15 minutes or so of story and some interaction with Carol Ferris as well. It's funny, I had re-watched New Frontier a few weeks ago and when watching First Flight, I was like hrmmm think I liked the Abin Sur of New Frontier better, just looked more like the comic book, at least from what I remember.
I hope they do a Flash and Legion of Superheros somewhere down the line, not too excited about the Superman/Batman public enemies coming up. I also hope at some point they go back to doing the Teen Titans story, not sure why that got put by the wayside.

I bought the Best Buy Blue Ray with the figure, not bad. I loved the film, didn't mind that there was no learning-how-to-use-the-ring-montage considering if you count New Frontier this is the second telling of the Hal Jordan origin. I would love to see most of the story take place in space for the live action movie. I mean Green Lantern is a little high on the food chain for chasing down jewel thieves. Leave that to Spidey and Batman. I can't wait for Public Enemies, one of the best Superman Batman story lines in the past 20 years.
One question for other buyers of the Blue ray, did yours' come with the digital copy disk? Either mine is missing or they just don't come with that disk.

The digital copy is downloaded using the key on the piece of paper inside, I thought there was a second disc like most of the digital copies use but nope....its a download.

Its on sale right now for $22.99. I went and bought it and returned the unopened Blu-Ray to Target who is selling it for the same price sans figure. Its a DC Universe so its only 3 3/4 but the figure itself just sold for $27.00 on eBay so it might be worthwhile to nab it while you can.
Loved every second of it. It definitely felt like Training Day and my wife who wasn't a huge Green Lantern fan had to eat crow after watching because she actually enjoyed it. I really hope that we get more merchandising from this, I'd love some 6" figures at minimum and wouldn't mind a 13" of Hal in this costume. According to interviews with DC's top brass it looks like the next film from the GL Legacy they plan to put on film is the SINESTRO CORPS WAR so I hope they keep the same cast even though the films won't connect.

that would be awesome!! i just read it last year and thought the sinestro corps war was fantastic.
An animated Sinestro Corps War for GL would be excellent! It'd be awesome to se an animated Blackest Night too!
