i am not sure what to do here.

green lantern is an essential part of the dc justice league, so i dont want to miss him if it's the only pf sideshow makes of the character for a long time.

on the other hand i really dont like the sculpt/paint.

If you HAVE to have Hal Jordan in your Justice League or your going to to go bat **** crazy, and you need the Ex, then I would order it. They will of another Hal, but their is Guy, John, Kyle and Alan Scott who could in theory get made first. They also might not make another Hal PF for awhile A Dio or Comiquette could come first. Now I think the Reg will be around on the after market for cheaper then retail eventually depending on the ES, but you never know.

Well my big prob is I want to compare everything to Bats and Sups in regards to epicness. I think it will be one of this statues that is kind of like a fine wine. I could see growing to like this I think. Just an odd presentation no doubt.

I was on the fence also, but pulled the trigger and ordered GL. It says proto type, so hopefully SSC will take some of the suggestions and make some changes.

If you get it, you will force yourself to like it. Another way of looking at it is if you get it, then you can compare all future pieces to that and everything else will look just awesome.

This is the plan that I've devised since I'm in the same boat. I'm going to buy it because I need Green lantern. It'd be weird not having GL for me since he's always been one of my favorites.

However, if in the future they make another Hal that is better than this one I will sell this piece and replace it with the other.

It's that simple.

It may be the only one for a long time.And it could surprise us..it may just turn out better than what we think.

I think some of you are far too optimistic.

SS is not going to change anything. The exclusive cyclops was terrible but it still sold out. This will be no different.

There are already a couple of other custom 1/4 scale GLs available if you want something better.

As well, I think the DC Direct version would fit nicer with SS superman and batman than this offering.

We still have the 1/6 figure and 1:1 bust for Hal. Maybe one day they'll make a 1:2 Hal.

do you have link to the custom 1/4s? Ebay has been flooded lately with custom 1/4 superman/batman but i havent seen a high quality 1/4 green lantern yet.
