This will no have bearing on DC PF, what it might have influence on is future Green Lantern inspired Premium Formats. Hal Jordan is arguably the most famous of the ringslingers and if he can't sell out, then they'll be less likely to jump into the rest so quickly despite it being SSC who fumbled this offering and not the character.

I think we'll see a Sinestro in this pose as well as it seems to be set up for that and that'll rot shelves as well. Hopefully a more museum styled pose will appear in another offering down the line but I think it'll be a while.

It isn't just the pose it is the overly jacked sculpt. Hell even a good head sculpt could have saved this. They should have listened to the collectors and changed it up... It could have been a grail.

Those are SO damn fine, shadowfax!!!! They have a fluidity and organicness (is that even a word?) to them that the SS PF GL can't even TOUCH! Where can I get a set!!!! I need them---NOW!!!!

You DO realize that is the workshop of the custom artist right, and that the statue hasn't been delivered yet.

I like she sculpt on both of them but I'm not too ecstatic about the base on the GL statue the spiral effect just isn't for me. I like what SS did with the bar better imo

that pic was sent to me from the sculptor to show me the progress (i'll assume it was taken in his workshop)...it was not completely done yet...needed a few finishing touch ups
has been shipped now...should arrive sometime late next week

Yeah' I agree.

we need to see some better pics.. the face especially because right now it looks so so.
the SS GL Hal's face has a stern look to it,but actually looks pretty good.

I totally disagree IMHO that custom as all the dynamic action and fluid lines that SSC wishes the PF had. Also, in my opinion the face on the custom is 10x better then the old man face on the PF. If the custom wasn't so expensive I would be all over it. Also, I know that is a prototype shot, but there is NO excuse that SSC could muster up that could explain how his ring does NOT have the Green Lantern symbol.

In the end you always have final word once you see it in person, I can't count the times that I thought a price was meh... On the Internet but was really impressive in person.

I forgot to ask about this. If you don't like a sculpt you can just return it to SSC?? Do you just lose return shipping and taxes??

It's obvious you don't like the SS GL not many of us do..but how can you say the Face and lines are better on the custom when there is not even a good pic of the Custom.Unless I missed it somewhere in the thread.If you have some please show them I'M looking for an awesome GL.
