To be clear, I am not affiliated with the company.

But, I am not sure why there isn’t a thread for Gridiron Studios. They produce some absolutely banging accessories, loadouts, and weapons for both 1:18 and 1:12 scale.

Coincidentally, they are running a special this weekend with 10% off Code: 68w10

If you want to up your classified line to another level. Check out their site.

I thought the Firefly upgrade pack was killer.

Thanks for starting this thread.

P.S. What makes a huge difference to me is when you listen to the Valaverse guy and this guy, and you hear how much they care and how much they clearly love the toys. You can see the passion in their work. I've always appreciated that - Collectors appealing to the base nature of other collectors for the pure joy of it.

They've got really, really cool stuff. I haven't yet made a purchase even though i've bought the extra troopers to do so. Their stuff is expensive to the wallet, but to my eye they're of high enough quality and design to warrant the price. I've been waiting to pull the trigger for a while, glad i found this thread and bummed i missed the code.

Yeah I've bought quite a lot of things from Gridiron. Though their guns are most often a bit oversized (I can ignore the issue), their helmets are some of the best out there!
When buying from them, wait for them to do a special like a exclusive on-removeable magazine gun included with every order, a different one every day for a weekend (or a coupon code). It makes it easier to accept the high pricing by spreading the cost of the order to the extra gun.
And those extra guns are often ones you can't buy directly from their website like the XMLR-3A GI Joe cartoon laser blaster and the .30 Browning MG with painted bullet belt they did for their 5000 subs on Instagram.

I'm going out of my mind with their latest Duster and Slam sets!

I'm also loving their Mashup of the Tavor with a XMLR-3A Joe Laser rifle!

Payday can't come soon enough!

Those new sets are dope. I guess I am going to have to customize a few figures now. The new "modernized" laser rifles are amazing as well. I will definitely be picking up a few of those. I just received a box from Gridiron this past week. Included was my Howitzer that I have been wanting forever. That last 10% coupon was more than I could resist. Also grabbed the Doc and Dusty loadouts, the Black .50 cal sniper elite set, and a few others. I am packing up to move right now, but I will try to get a few photos.

That's quite the purchase BuddyGus!
The weird thing I noticed about the Joe laser rifle in the Gi Joe Movie that I rewatched just a few days ago, is that there's a couple of brief scenes where a Joe is firing it and it's kicking out brass! Particularly a shot in the beginning segment where You see General Hawk firing the weapon, it's also making more of a gun firing sound. The Mashup weapon makes me think that's what it'd be like, maybe it's a special rifle that Hawk rigged up.

I would've got the Dusty set if the goggles weren't sculpted to the helmet, I would've liked to try sewing my own havelock on the helmet.

Good luck on the move btw!

Got my first order in from gridiron - two alley viper sets, the cobra infantry mortar and the bat arm launcher.

Wow.

I've bought another alley viper and three more bats because these sets are so well done they elevate the figure's presentation and they're so much fun, i just want to buy more figures to put the stuff on. Figures are the accessory for gridiron's gear.
Not cheap by any stretch, but well worth it in my book. Totally reignited my interest/enjoyment in the line (which is even more "not cheap").
Really really wish i hadn't canceled my hiss tanks. 🥴

Looking forward to seeing that howitzer! Hot dang!

Now you got the fever! I enjoy customizing 1:12 a lot more than I do getting a new figure whether that's 1:6 or 1:12. Part of the reason I left collecting 1:6 military figures, it became just too expensive.
I've had my eye on the Short Fuze Mortar set myself and I'd like to get that BAT arm launcher eventually, but had to put that money towards the Grand Slam set which should arrive Saturday!
Next you should get the Gatling gun arm! (shameless excuse to repost my images here)

BLAST OFF!

Gridiron Customs Slam Set 003.jpg

The rocket pack straps on with a thick black flexible band, no peg on the pack. This is like a high quality easy stretch rubber band. The nicely transparent blast effects simply fiction fit in the holes. The belt fits a little loose on the AF hips. Mag isn't removable and the slide is fixed on the Browning, I needed a bit of heat to fit the sidearm in the holster. No spare M4 mag included but you can fit one into the empty mag holder on the belt. Great silver paint on the helmet, pack, belt, and laser blaster. The hose is very flexible and glued onto the blaster; it simply slides into a hole on the pack, pretty deeply so I don't think it'll stretch to the point of coming out of the hole. It would've been cool to have included an optional plug for the hole on the pack so you don't see the hole if not using the blaster. The visor is non transparent so hides that spare Blowback head I was going to use on Falcon (I have another spare Blowback head for that one later). This rocket pack is similar to the one from Gridiron with the Jump Station but lacks the arm controls and shoulder braces on that version. I'm not sure if that Rocket pack uses a peg or not as I don't have one myself.
I still need to get a vest, probably something from Anthanatos Limited when they're available.

Oh, I also noticed that the Duster version of the rocket pack has nozzles on either side, one where the hose for the laser blaster attaches making that rocket pack different than this version, cool!

Received my Gridiron order early today, happy to report that if you ordered on Saturday, you get that sweet Barrett .50!

The specific model is the M107A1. The barrel is a bit warped, fixed that with heat. No bipod which is essential with a Barrett. And the scope has no lenses, can fix that with a circle cut out of some plastic packaging. Mag is non removeable of course. The bipod issue could be fixed using one of the bipods from their new G36 Sniper sets, there's no hole to plug the bipod peg into but, you could drill and cut that missing hole in the bottom of the rifle.

I also got the new Greenshirt #8 mash-up rifle, looks fantastic, extremely detailed! The forestock and barrel are from their XMLR-3A, the rest is TAR-21. Since Gridiron hasn't made their XMLR-3A orderable on their website, I'll be ordering 3 more of the mash-up #8 rifle to outfit all my Greenshirts.

So did you pick anything up from the weekend BuddyGus? I ordered the Bazooka soldier loadout, the Aliens headset, a couple of the Tavor Laser rifle mash up guns, and the black RPK.
