** I've really always liked the work of Luis Royo, I mean lets face it,
he's the master of his craft. You cant tell me one fantasy, sci-fi or horror
film, game, cartoon since the 80's that his art hasn't influenced in one way
or the other. I even saw his influence in Hot Toys She-Predator figure,
just lacking the some real armor and flair.

So I said to myself (as I often do), lets bash a figure inspired by Luis Royo
and so it begun. I chose The Pedulum's Pause from 1993.
A strong female, loaded with weapons and scantally dressed in chainmail
and other armor. I called her The Guardian of the Golden Gate.
Which will be explained more with the back story later. Let's just
say, she's clad in golden armor and chainmail from head to toe.

** To start, I took the Hot Toys She-Predator body, boots & breast plate.
Then I took all the other armor parts and created real chainmail.
I gave her chainmail waist armor, along with chainmail accented shoulder & arm parts.
I added chainmail accents to all the weapons and sheild.
All the weapons are real metal as well and everything is custom painted to match.

Though this was labor instensive, this was a joy to work on. Take a look at her.
Real metal really makes a difference. I put one of our new Milla
heads on her with a chainmail cowl. I also had to move the sword to the waist, it didn't work
with the cowl when it was on the back. Needless to say, she's ready to throw down. :naughty
What do you think, any Royo fans out there?
Any input would be great.

Very nice work... the gold is especially vibrant looking. Also, killer work on the hair, looks very real :rock

Looks really good and I think that Luis Royo would certainly approve!
