Great news on the sequel, hopefully Star-Lord gets killed off in the first 5 minutes and Rocket gets put in charge as that way I don't have to tune out Chris Pratt's "acting" for the entire movie.

But I'd agree that he didn't felt like good enough leader. Tho they can explore this aspect in the sequel so I'm not complaining.

I'm glad they are doing the sequel, it should be more action orientated and big.

In the Guardians footage I've seen so far he sounds like he's forcing his lines out, there's a talking tree in the film but he's somehow less wooden than Pratt.

No idea what Parks & Rec is as I don't do US comedy.

But whatever, it's not as if I particularly care about Star-Lord anyway. Rocket & Groot are my main area of intrest.

I understand, but maybe it wont seem that way to you in the theater, as long as your not going in expecting him to be bad, I think it could change your opinion towards the character and actor

I'll definitely try to go in with an open mind, I'm just sceptical of the whole way Marvel are trying to push him as the RDJ of the cosmic part of the MCU.....if Chris Pratt is talented enough he should be allowed to succeed in his own way, not by doing a RDJ imitation.

That's stupid, Tony Stark is the genius rich boy of Earth while Peter Quill is nobody.
Pratt is playing that pathetic Earthling who was raised to be galactic scum, he doesn't have the mighty presence of RDJ.

Btw Star-Lord is not meant to be a good team leader, if you read the comics you would know that's he leads by his gut never really thinking things through but always doing his best to do the right thing. He relies on his team to come up with plans but they often have to improvise. He's not a leader in the sense that he gives out orders and plans, he's a leader in the sense that because of the person he is people are willing and want to follow him.
