Guess you weren't paying too much attention...Lex's program had nothing to do with Bizzaro. Bizzarro was the creation of last Phantom stealing some of Clark's DNA for a host.

I missed the entire 6th Season because it was on the nights I had classes and didn't have TiVo until half way through and by then I was thoroughly confused. I will definitely go back and watch it on DVD. So what occurred with Bizarro now? Someone please enlighten me since the season is over already.....

Oh and Kara Zor-El? Its a ploy to gauge interest before WB commits completely to the rumored Supergirl film. Very suspicious IMHO. The easiest way to introduce her will be similar to the Modern introduction in Superman/Batman Jeph Loeb is Executive Producer and could easily retool that story.

I think Loeb is on LOST now - pretty sure he hasn't been on Smallville for a couple of seasons. And I doubt Warner Bros. would allow them to use Supergirl if a movie was seriously in the works. They wouldn't let them use Bruce Wayne because Batman Begins was being developed.

Bizzaro just showed up in the last few minutes of the season cliffhanger. Obviously I'm not the one to recap the season, but there's something about Lana marrying Lex, Lex trying to build a super army to protect humanity from kryptofreaks, oh, and there's Lois being hot. And Clark trying to track down the 7 villains that he freed from the Phantom Zone in the season opener, the last of which was just a spectre that inhabited humans, but burned through them fast. It needed a Kryptonian to inhabit, but it managed to just steal Clark's DNA and formed a Clark double, whose face turned all white and angley when he flew away.

Well, I think Lex's soldiers were based on krytonite/alien dna, so he just needed either of them to activate them I think. That's why he wanted a phantom, to use its dna to activate the soldiers.

And the last phantom wasn't looking for a krytonian per se, but a kryptonian was the only species that was strong enough to be possesed by it and not just burn out. Which begs the qeustion, why didn't the phantom just invade clark, and not make a copy out of him?

Yea, I wondered about that too. But they can always fall back on "well, the phantom reacts differently with Kryptonians than with humans."
