A lot of people become cops because they are bullies and it gives them an outlet through which to push other people around. A lot of cops are people who get off on having power over other people. They get to write really rich people in their expensive cars tickets, or beat up on minorities, ect. There are many cops who are there because they want to serve the community and to keep people safe. I've met both kinds. The cops who want to serve are very considerate and professional in their demeanor, whereas the bullies always have a chip on their shoulder and give you an attitude, like they want to to bow down to them. Unfortunately, there aren't enough nice people who are community conscious who want to help people that are WILLING to be police officers, and so the police dept HAS to hire bullies, just to have enough cops to patrol the streets.

Any professional police officer who wants to help people would ignore the bird, as the guy basically said, because they know they have more important things to do in order to serve the community. The bullies, however, can't stand to be insulted, and will use whatever means at their disposal to get back at the guy, like write him tickets.
I don't know what else the guy said in the interview, but basically he should say that there are professional police, and there are cops who are bullies, and that he is just trying to point that out, and that basically, he wants this to change. Good luck, I say. I doubt that there are enough good people to replace the bullies, and I doubt the bullies will ever change MUCH.

I'm still not sure why he did it to begin with. Why is he "living in fear" of the police? What exactly did they do to him? His brother must think he's a jerk.

How do you come up with such inane statements?

You are telling me that the fact that there are a lot of bully cops is a revelation to you? Sure, what the guy did was disrespectful in a way, although it's just a finger, and I've always thought that that was a stupid thing to associate an insult with that hand pose ever since someone showed it to me in the first grade. Someone said hey, check this out, and showed me. I said, it's a finger, so what? They said, well then, show it to the teacher. Then they chuckled. I knew they were trying to set me up, but I didn't care. I said, fine. Then I showed the teacher. She said, don't do that. I said, why not? She said, well you just shouldn't do that. I said," why not? It's just a finger. That's stupid."

Anyway, the cops have more important things to do than get involved with someone who gives them "the bird". Cops that feel compelled to react to this guy are pricks on a power trip, and are unprofessional. There are simply far too many more important things for them to deal with than to give this guy a second thought. Unless they have too much time on their hands and would otherwise just be eating donuts somewhere...

I disagree, I know 4 Cops and all of them are opposite of these bullies you talk about. My best friend is a cop, my other buddy is a RCMP, actually 3 friends are, and my cousin is a cop. All 5, not 4, are good down to earth people who I bully when I hang with them. lol

Eli they're talking about American cops, not Canadian.

:monkey3

That's definitely not legal, that's essentially saying "____ You" and while saying ____ isn't illegal, directing it at someone is, and he's directing it at the cops

Anyways, he looks like a loser anyways

Well, my cousin is a cop, who I have no contact with, but He's as I describe, except he's also irresponsible and a thief. He's wrecked at least 3 squad cars due to his irresponsible driving, the last time was when he used his squad car for personal reasons and went so fast for so long, that when he arrived at his destination, it overheated so bad that the engine block cracked. The car was totally screwed up. He was seen stealing a guy's wallet that a guy accidentally left on the counter of a gas station or convenience store. The guy walked away, and left it, and then my cousin put it in his own pocket and walked away. Then he took out the money, and threw the wallet on the side of the road. Another time, the other cops knew of this behavior, and gave him some money to put in the lockup. Wouldn't you know it, some of the money didn't make it there. Who woulda guessed? How on Earth could that have happened??? I wonder. Unfortunately it was ruled as entrapment, so the charges didn't stick. Also, the Chicago Police stole my father and grandfather's gun collection in the 1950's. My grandfather goes to the police station to tell them he's going on vacation and that he has a big gun collection, and that he wants the police to WATCH THE HOUSE so that no one steals it. :lol Sure enough, during that same week that he was gone, all of the guns were stolen.

I know there are nice people who are police, as I've met them, as I said before. There are great people on the police force, but not all.
I speak about the character of cops from personal knowledge. No BS, no theories.

Actually Blackthornone, it's not just Bullies. It's also nerds/marks who got punked out their whole life who become cops. And THOSE are usually the ones who are the biggest pricks.
