Not sure what to make of this movie.

Just got back from seeing this. I really enjoyed it. If you're looking to see the classic King Arthur tale......forget it! :lol

Nothing for me will ever top Boorman's Excalibur....period

I agree but it's so different from that you can't even compare the two. It's pre knights of the round table, btw. I give it a 7/10.

Don't read if you plan on seeing it....

No Guinevere (so no love drama), no Lancelot, no Merlin. Big elephants like in LotR, along with other large scale animals. A lot of humorous banter. The baddie reminded me of Death Dealer. The action was good, the story was good. The direction and music at times was annoying.

It's really too bad this movie isn't doing better than it is. Guardians is sucking the life out of it.

Netflix.

43 mil world wide opening on 175 mil budget, yea Ritchie is prolly dreaming of Sherlock 3 and Hunnam wishing he took that 50 shades part.

Guardians is more hyped and waaaaay more safe.
Most people like to feel comfy and warm in their sits these days.
I dunno why Ritchie's takin' on big budget projects... He needs big names to sell them.

I seen this on Saturday. I would give it a 6.5 to a 7. It could have been so good. Too much filler, some missed opportunities, and some nonsensical stuff. When he first pulled the sword out I was literally getting chills watching it happen. Just waiting for him to unload a case of whoop ass. Aaaand he faints. I don't think they should have had him faint because that led up to the nonsensical thing of them keeping him alive. You would think that they would have orders to kill who ever could pull the sword out of the stone. Yes I no movies do this all the time but still don't like it.

Loved the battle scene with the elephants and Mordred. Loved the women octopus creatures. Was one of them the uncles wife? Will his daughter become one as well? Loved, loved, loved the death dealer character. Ritchie had to have had death dealer in mind when he made that character. Also loved the few times when Arthur fought with Excalibur. Would have liked to have seen more. This would have been a block buster except for a few missteps as far as I'm concerned.

It's only Netflix good? I was thinking on seeing this but I guess I'll wait for Netflix too.
