Hallmark ornament premiere in one week

One of my favorite things to do is collect Star Wars and Star Trek ornaments. I love Christmas and the ornaments are coming out next Saturday.

Just wanted to give whoever collects these a heads up about the weekend exclusive Tusken Raider. it will go great with the Jawa and R2 thats coming this year. I know I will be there bright and early next Sat. I know they also have a Uhura that is limited as well for you Trek fans as well.

So I was wondering if any of you all also collected these. They are nice for what they are and Im going to have a whole tree of Star Wars and Star Trek this year.

I've picked up a few Star Wars ornaments. So far, I've got ANH versions of Han & Leia, C-3PO, R2-D2, Chewie w/ 3-PO, Darth, and a Stormtrooper. I think I might be picking up a few this year including the Tusken Raider, Jawa w/R2, and the Obi/Luke Dio (depending on how it looks in person).

Wow, the Wrath of Khan and Jack look nice too. I get every Hallmark Star Wars ornament, have every one since the Millenium Falcon back in 1995, and I have a 3 foot tree that I put up in my room dedicated to Star Wars ornaments, I'll have to share pictures this year with my fellow freaks.

I still need to find about 10total from both franchises from previous years which I probably will get this Christmas season on ebay.

I didn't start getting them until '96 when the first character pieces came out and it was fairly heavily marketed, I think from Star Wars Insider. The '95 Falcon and Mini Ships 3-Pack kinda slipped under the radar, but the ships were still around for a while and my mom had found em for me, then I found the Falcon at a toy show a few years ago. Some of the early years had some hard to come by pieces, I remember first Yoda and Boba Fett were a pain to find if you didn't get them first day, so now I go as soon as they're available and secure them for my collection.

I know sometimes you just never know what is going to be the hot piece of the year. I know last year I kept on putting off the Transporter Chamber and I waited until after Christmas and they were all gone. I finally found one in a little privately owned Hallmark store still hanging there on the ornament displays so I asked if they had the box so they found the box for it and I got it for like $15 dollars.

This year Im sure the Tusken and Uhura are going to be hard to come by. I dont by the oranment club thing so I will have to wait an hour later than members to enter the Hallmark store.

My guess would be that the 3-PO, Luke and Ben dio piece will be the more popular of the Star Wars offering, but the Tusken may be the less produced because it's not a core piece. I like that most of my Jedi have somone to duel or pose with so I have like the Luke-Vader ROTJ and ESB duels on there, Padme and Anakin posed back to back from AOTC arena battle, Vader and Regular Tie fighter duking it out with the Falcon and X-Wing, it's fun setting up my tree, takes forever though.

Yep him and Uhura are ornament premiere weekend exclusives only available on July 14 and 15. I hope I am able to get these two easily. I will travel around to different Hallmarks if I have too but those two will be the ones to grab next weekend without a doubt.

Any Hallmark store and even some places that sell Hallmark Ornaments, I think my Yoda came from a CVS store back in the day, they carry some from time to time, but being so far from Christmas right now, I'm sure only Hallmark stores themselves will stock them yet.

Thanks for the heads up on the Raider, I might not have gone next weekend otherwise. I'm in a small town so shouldn't have any trouble getting one.

I don't think the Tusken Raider is only available that weekend. It just available in limited numbers that weekend. Hallmark does that every year. In the fall it should be pretty easy to find. I've never known any of them to be hard to come by.

And it stinks that they didn't continue the LOTR ornaments.

I heard the next LotR ornament is going to be announced when the next LotR P.F. is announced.

All kidding aside. I have a couple of the SW ornaments, both LotR ones and tons of other characters (alot of them belong to my wife).

I'll definitely be getting Captain Jack this year as well.

Kohls stores also usually have Hallmark ornaments as well.

Nope the Tusken is only available in limited quantities next weekend. From the sound of it this is the first one of these type things for Star Wars. It will get me out nice and early in order to procure one. They will not release more of them later on in the year.

Snagged all of the Star Wars and also picked myself up a Captain Jack. I looked at that Wrath of Khan piece, but it's so small I wasn't impressed. Tusken even says on the box limited quantities, but there were plenty enough when I went in, course the store had barely been open when I went

I'm really impressed most with the Obi-Luke dio, the audio is actual Alec Guinness dialogue, the room structure has a light effect built into it to make it look like the saber is lit as it gets ignited in the dialogue. I like the clever way Hallmark makes sabers look lit on their small diorama pieces, like the Anakin-Obi-Wan ROTS Duel ornament.
