Jack's Smirking Revenge
Ok Ill chime in I played soccer my whole life and I am son the a football coach. Toughness I will vote rugby over football and I know many people who have played both and would agree. Skill soccer takes a total different type of skill the football. Hell if it was so easy to kick the ball why would you always see the same kickers getting resigned because the young kid they drafted keeps missing. Also take a look at the NFL players things ESPN did over the summer and watch some of the best athletes look like fools trying to take soccer penalty kick. They both require skill, soccer requires a MUCH higher level of endurance. And you think getting kicked in the shin doesn't hurt? Let a pro soccer player kick you in the shin and see you stand up afterwards. Sorry shin guards don't help that much I have had a pair cracked while wearing them playing soccer when I was kicked. Yes they do take dives and yes that sucks but its part of the game now. I would compare getting kicked in the shins hard to getting the wind knocked out of you in football. The pain when you get kicked hurts like hell but it gets better pretty quick too. Also in soccer you dont to get to go the bench get in a nice big jacket sit on a warming seat with heaters around you, your out there for 45+ minutes in shorts socks and a shirt no matter the weather. Football is a tough sport but I will say that todays players are pansies compared to old school players, the pads are 1000 time better now. I would say Rugby/Aussie Football and hockey are probably the toughest two sports by far.
aussies rules football IMO is by far the toughest, allowed to tackles high & hard, rugby you can only tackle waist high but aussie rules you can practically clotheslines someone
played rugby for a while at school but choose education rather than sports, anyway, getting someone's studs raked down the back of your thigh isn't an experience I'd like to re-enact
