Just watched the Gametrailers review, I liked their perspective on the included complete suite of Halo 3 maps (plus the 3 new ones) versus IGN's rather negative view on them. The IGN review totally ignored (or forgot) that not everyone bought or downloaded the post Halo 3 released map packs.
Also, by watching the GT review, that was the first time seeing and hearing Nathan Fillion's voice work for the game. AWESOME! (I avoided most of the trailers and vids)
I'm not going to hang on it, but the only thing I found baffling about the Gametrailers review was the final/overall score. An 8.9. Really? Couldn't go the extra .1 for a 9.0, huh? Eh, no big deal, except for Microsoft's marketing.
^^^ Pretty good list of scores except for two that oddly stick out---6.5/10 and 6/10 while the others average 8.5-9 out of 10. I just read through the "Now Gamer" review and its pretty hard to imagine that they reviewed the same game that the others did. The reviewer bashed the heck out of the graphics stating that they were terrible for such a big name game. And then of course they complained about how short the game itself is...While I'm not going to argue their opinion, I do want to argue what exactly they were expecting out of it?? They stated that the game will only take about 5 hours to complete, but that's not what I've seen in other reviews.
They also didn't like the new visor mode, which is what I see as the main feature/attraction for this game. They said it is kind of counter-productive in a sense of why bother including it in the first place?? I'm not sure why they were complaining about it in the first place.
I'm sure it'll last longer if people take their time and go through on multiple difficulties and co-op, but this review seemed like they were just trying to bash the game no matter what. Does anyone else want to read their review and see if they see this like I do??
Is that some sort of hybrid Vampire?one look at the acheivement shows you'll have to go through vampaign a few times
