I like the look of this. I purchased the Hasbro version of Carbonite Han when I saw the Sideshow price for their bit of plastic. I plan to add a bit of paint to mine at some point to make it look a bit more realistic. Then making a Jabba wall like this with a bit of lighting is also not too hard. You can get spray on sand paint stuff that can look great.

Sideshow uploaded a small video to instagram showing the lights. I'm buying it

Have to say it does look decent. I still don't think it's worth $250 but it's pretty nice. I might see if it goes down in price.

the slab looks amazing. The light up base is cool. But the way it connects is kinda retarded. This is the video by the way for those not on instagram or haven't seen it:

Standing is probably the best way to display it, but even then the arm should've been adjustable, making it float a bit off the base would've been nice instead of it just standing there, or at least having that option. After all they managed to do it with a life sized version...

The laying down bespin idea seems like it was a really great concept, the way you flip the floor panel over to the white tiles, and then you connect it via the side volvo panels. Except... it looks kinda lame when assembled. The slab hovers way too low to the floor if that panel is suppose to be the floor. Maybe it sits at a decent height next to standing figures but overall it just doesn't make any sense.

I think everyone would've agreed that it would've been preferable to have no silly display, and just sell the slab by itself for a lower price.

That hero panel tho... damn that looks nice!! Overall the carbonite slab is awesome. I've ordered it and I will likely use the base to stand a figure as a center piece, and I'll come up with my own cool way to make the slab levitate. Maybe how that one dude on the forums levitated yoda.... via one of those magnetic displays like this one:

It might be worth it to sell my original Han in Carbonite with the Jabba wall and use that to buy this and have extra left over for another figure. Thinking about it....

I think the Jabba's palace version looks a bit cooler to be honest. Overall as a display piece I like it more. This is okay but I wish the base was the carbonite chamber room instead of just the hallway look from Cloud City.

Gotta give them a bit of Kudos for making it adaptable for the vertical and horizontal orientation.

My problem is in the horizontal position the base is very small. If Boba is standing next to it he'll also need to have a base made to get him to the same height.

I agree about the base. Carbonite chamber seems like a no-brainer.

Agreed. Much cooler. But I was thinking about making my own wall that is wider and has some LEDs. The new carbonite Han might look better since it lights up too. Not sure, but thinking about it.

For anyone interested, there's a Han in Carbonite 1:6 and 1:3 scale run on the RPF by Zenix.

Preordered as well :)
Did you notice if the Zuckuss is in scale? I heard that he may be the same height as the other bounty hunters which wouldn't be accurate. Short bug guy

Zuckuss is shorter than the other figures.
