That's pretty cool, TonTon!

Love my Jnix Han sculpt as well!

:duff Definitely the grail in my collection.

These two really complement each other so well. Wasn't sure of this Han for a while but it's really elevated Boba.

My three Han figures now.

I like how Carbo Han kinda has his hands on their shoulders. He seems to be singing the blues with a "Guys, a LOT happens between these two outfits" lament. And maybe a "note Leia's coke nail..." in there too.

"...singing the blues..."

That made me laugh out loud for real.

Curious to know what scale this GG statue shown at Toy fair is. If it’s 1:6 it might be a good alternative to Sideshow’s release.

1/8 scale and the control panel doesn't light up - and it's still $160? Some of these smaller scale statues are pretty expensive for what you actually get.

It's a really great part of the SS one. That the panel lights up. It's such a shame they don't have the proper signage on the display.

I opened mine up today and put it next to the WIP i have on the bench of one that has the angled sides(But no taper to the top), and it's visibly undersized.
I'm going to make another one with the correct reduction in width as it gets to the top.

Do you all think this thing can be safely held up by rare earth magnets off Amazon? Planning to take a crack at making a Jabba's Palace trophy wall and I would rather not drill a hole in the back of Carbonite Han if I can avoid it.

Totally. If you can get it open, and install a really large one in there. Maybe even two.

Is the current magnet accessible from the opening for the electronics compartment?

I just don't understand why none of these companies can do what Regal Robot did and just scan the original prop. I've got the mini wall plaque that Regal Robot did and it is absolutely superb. A 100% scaled down version of the real prop. They scanned it and 3d printed their version. No other product has come close to this one. Sadly, their license doesn't allow them to do the whole statue but I thought Gentle Giant started up as company claiming that everything is scanned. It confuses me why the Gentle Giant Han statue looks so badly off compared to the perfect Regal Robot version. The only slight disappointment with the Regal Robot mini plaque is that it's approximately 1/5th scale, so it couldn't be used to "upgrade" the top part of a 1/6 version (which was what I originally planned on doing). Here's some pics of it.

Sideshow has always said - if it's a choice of doing it right versus just doing it, they always just do it.:lecture

I was thinking of gluing in about 4 rare earth magnets through the side panel ports with a tweezers. I am a little concerned about it messing with the pre installed magnetic functions. I think I also want to stay away from the top light up panel area.

My other thought was just using a 3m adhesive product to simply attach one large magnet on the back outside of the block. Anybody know of an adhesive product strong enough to hold this up, yet still be potentially removable?

If you mean on the outside, then use carpet tape. Holds like a limpet, but some fishing line run behind it in a see-saw fashion will take it off.

Thanks, will use that if I end up using an exterior magnet.

I think I am going to first order some smaller magnets, glue them in, and test the strength of the hold.

Rare Earth Magnets are INSANELY strong. I’m a science buff so I’ve used them for science related projects. You shouldn’t have any problem holding up Han at all. Not sure how you’re looking to mount them though. Maybe build a faux back to it and have the magnets installed flush with the back?

Pre-installed magnetic functions...?

Every time I see this go on sale I get more tempted by it. Currently at $20 off and free shipping. Still wish it was a tad less but I might finally bite.
