I'm surprised they didn't re-do the portrait on this. PF's are generally pretty good in that area these days. The likeness on this one however is nowhere to be seen.

They are? That's news to me. Especially with regards to the production pieces.

I'll admit that the Jyn Erso facesculpt was pretty good, and even though Rey's wasn't to my liking likeness wise, I know that there are people who've liked it. But imo generally speaking nearly every other facesculpt based on an actors likeness (without major makeup) has been mostly misses for the past four years.

To me the new PF looks like something out of one of the Star War animated tv shows, if Han Solo were to be in them.

I agree. I don't even like the Rey or Jyn likenesses. The only human quarter scale statues I have are from Iron Studios and the XM Luke.

Well I'm hoping Leia and Obi Wan turns out good because I have both on preorder.
As for Han and Luke, happy to pick these up when i can get them with big mark downs.....

Honestly I only preordered Leia due to her passing, as I thought I really did need a statue of her character.

I think Leia might turn out ok. I'm definitely interested but need to see the production version before ordering.

In the same boat, I want to make a small Leia dedicated collection area and I feel like this PF might be the best choice we have. I think it looks the best by far of all their new OT PF statues.

I'll see how the in hand pics look of her and take it from there.

I also would really like to know what Iron Studios has planned for their SW line long term? Are they slowly going to release a statue of all the core OT characters or just do select ones? I hope their next is Han, Luke, or Leia but I prefer Han.

Yea I am hoping IS makes a 1/4 ROTJ Luke Skywalker. That would be a day one PO for me.

I’m thinking same as you, but the new Luke face sculpt is so wrong.

well, my expectations were pretty low on this.. but its actually pretty nice and looks great next to Chewie... only real issue is his facial expression.. it does not match the action pose. If you have an action pose, you need some factial expression. THis portrait would have matched more for a museum pose or relaxed stance..

Details on his belt are very nice and the mixed media well done

Turned out great for what i was expecting the head sculpt yes, could have been more like Harrison Ford. It looks like him, and im happy with it. Only issue i am having is his holster lower clasp wont connect. Enjoy the pictures!

Its ok, you can tell its Ford from some views.. but yeah, it could be done better .. specially nowadays with all the 3D capability .. but froma distance, yeah.. its Han Solo.. and unfortunately the best in 1/4 to date..
