I don't know if it's just me, but is anybody else happy the Elections are almost over??

Not only do we finally stop hearing about all this crap on every channel there is, but we'll stop getting 15 pieces of junk mail for this candidate every day and stop getting the 25 phone calls from these candidates too.

Funny: As I was typing this, I got two calls for Proposition 8.....:banghead

Yup, sick of them. Can't turn on the tv or surf the web without running into the constant bickering.

I am too. Maybe things can return to some semblence of civility. Although I am quite excited for next Tuesday night. It's like the superbowl for me.

I know Josh will sure be happy as well as most of the MODs.

:lecture:lecture:lecture

I'm so sick of them I could scream.... And not the candidates themselves.. But the bickering of their followers. I'm tired of the name calling, the finger pointing... I've lost friends, I've lost closeness to certain relatives... It's gotten ugly.

This board has a million threads that start innocently enough and then spin off into negative town, where both sides just argue over and over again the same points they have been trying to hammer home for a month. It's annoying as Hell and I am sick to death of it.

It really wouldn't be so bad if most people knew how to talk about politics without resorting to what I call the "Pitchforks and Torches" style of political discussion. There are a few guys on here who just don't have a clue. :google

You mean the Democratic Discussion Strategy :rotfl:rotfl That was just too easy.

Anyway, a person is an intelligent and rational being, people are stupid, ignorant, and easily manipulative; which is why politicians love the craze some people have.

Ditto... So often it goes right off the deep end with no real discernible reason for it to do so...

Man I could name a few names on both sides of the political fence who fit (and some who completely have their heads in la-la land) :lol

That's why I've learned to just not talk about it makes life easier. I couldn't have gotten through grad school if I didn't learn to keep my mouth shut when people made comments I disagreed with. The hardest was when people threw barbs in my direction, but I just smiled and shrugged and let it go.

Yea, I guess subjects like this brings out the passion and people and with the passion coming out, so do the inhibitions.
