Read my comments more carefully. I said I don't have anything against piracy as long as the uploader doesn't get a dime. If it's to be done there shouldn't be any profit involved. Getting a new supercomputer for 1000 dollars is just that. He gets to keep it afterwards, right? Or is he going to return the parts and refund everyone? :S
Lol, you can buy a "super computer" for a $1000.00, eh? :lol

How many countless hours has the guy spent, so that a tiny minority of the people watching his edits could DONATE some cash to make his job easier? It's a total non-issue. Anyway, it should go without saying you prefer the specialized versions considering your abomination of an avatar. :lol

So hold on. You came in this thread to question the morality of this project, while you your self download them for free... Dare I say, illegally.

Hilarious... not to mention there is a big difference between just copying a movie and putting it up, versus painstakingly editing and correcting all the horrid things Lucas did to the OT. This smacks of the idiocy of people who think recasting custom heads is okay since the original sculptor stole the likeness :huh :lol

:exactly: :lecture :goodpost:

Well, this has been fun to read. Find it ironic that Dracula comes in here to bash Harmy asking for "donations," not like he's forcing anyone to contribute, and then turns around and says, "Oh yeah, I like watching his work." Some people just don't make sense. :slap

All I can say is THANK GOODNESS FOR HARMY. Because of him we have the best version of the original Star Wars we'll probably ever see. :clap

Can't seem to find my original post so I'll post again.

I'm so happy for this Harmy version 2.5!! It looks absolutely beautiful!! I am having some issues with the audio - popping, clicking, drop outs and once when it fades up to 3po's oil bath, it starts, then repeats. Anyone else have these issues or is it just me?

I've never had problems with my audio. Possible you might have gotten a corrupted download?

I need to look into this version. I remember reading about a fan version of the original movies that look like the Special Editions without some of the Special Edition stuff that ties them into the Prequels. I think those limited DVD versions go for a lot now. It's a shame that we don't have proper released versions of the original movies. It would have been easy for George Lucas to do too.

That's done by Adywan. He picked out the best of the SE stuff and kept out the crap. Also added a few bits of his own as well. He's currently hard at work on Empire.
