"Boo beep whirl".....

And I have to agree, the fact that the creator of SW couldn't even respect or merge the continuity is pretty weak. It's like if we got some shiny new movies we'd forget about the original films.

As for R2 and Kenobi... there was no need for R2 or C-3PO to be in the prequels. They could have easily done without them, or just have both the droids memories erased. But no, we'll put them in have R2 present for everything and then never address it.

Like "hey Luke... boo, beep, boo... you should probably know Vader's your Dad, and he was a puss too, so chin up. boo, beep whirl"

Well while I did mention continuity a bit I was going slightly OT since my main point were the differences between the theatrical release and the special edition and the fact that neither are the perfect version for me but that it lies somewhere in between.

I agree there's not much need for the droids in the prequels but it could still have worked if implemented properly, Anakin building as a side project and not really interacting with anyone but Padme.
Also my memory's hazy but I don't know if R2 ever so Anakin after he fell and when he becomes Vader. Either it's always explainable for it to have had his memory erased in the 18 year period. Probably Kenobi/yoda etc... wanted them wiped to keep the identity of the kids and the events from memory. But it's not explainable from Kenobi's PoV.

Hi all,
I've just learnt about this "despecialized Star Wars". I discovered this forum after some searching on the web. I would love to own this Blu Ray version. How do I go about getting myself on the list?

(I did send JimJimmyJones85 a PM but had no repsonse so far).

Hi shiffy and welcome to the board.

In regards to signing up to get the trilogy on disc, we decided several pages back that we would limit this list to people with a minimum of 50 posts. JJJ has been burning these for many members here and we had to consider the workload and his time as well.

While you build up to 50 posts keep in mind you can download these to your computer and watch them there. There are ways to go a step further and play them from your computer to your TV.

I hope this answers your question. Thanks.

Hi Slynger,
Thanks for the info, much appreciated. I fully understand the stance you've taken & I must have missed it while skimming though some of the pages regarding this.

In the mean time it gives me the chance to fully explore this forum and contribute in some small way!

Speaking of which, I watched Empire Strikes Back de-specialized (my first time seeing the original version) in my home theater last night and it was grandiose.

And it's only getting better. Harmy is currently correcting the colors even further and cleaning up other things. To me, it looks great, I can't wait to see what V2 delivers!!

The new blu-ray release of ESB will have English text on Luke's little X-Wing screen addressing that very issue.

R2: Boo, beep, whirl! "[Hey Luke, you handled yourself on Hoth much better than your ***** boy dad. Want to know who he really is before we set the autopilot to Dagobah?]"

Luke: (laughs) "No, that's okay, I think I'll keep it on manual control for a while."

Last set of requests went out last Thursday.

If there are any for this week, please let me know ASAP as I have a short week and would need to mail by Wednesday.

Thanks guys.

Ok, all have been shipped ! If anyone else wants in, I can get some out tomorrow if needed ! Just hit me up !

Ok, I am all caught up ... I think and hope.

If I missed anyone or anyone else needs a copy, let me know.

Finally got around to watching the disc last night and words can't describe how great it was to see the movie in its' original, unaltered form. Thank you again for making this disc available to all if us.

I will echo that as well - huge Thank You to JJJ for not only my 2 sets he did for me but for all the other 'freaks he has helped out. :duff

So I have downloaded these in the past and greatly admire all the work and time that must've been put into recreating them, but never burned them onto a DVD. I believe each movie was around 6gb. I was always hoping to find the HD versions, but I've never been able to find any larger files. What are the sizes for the Blu Rays and are they available for download from anywhere? I've been reading on these forums for quite some time but never posted much so I don't meet the requirement of 50 posts to request them. Thanks for any replies.

It looks like V2 of ESB is nearly complete. Maybe another week or so and it should be available. He's trying to make the AVCHD and MKV releases simultaneously.
