I've gotten used to the notion of having big chunks of the book left out. It bothered me before but I've tried to view both mediums as completely separate. The books are fantastic (and if you ever get the chance to listen to the Jim Dale audiobooks, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT. They are perfection.), and the movies will never be close just for the mere volume of content in the books. But I did enjoy HBP despite what was left out. Like I mentioned before, the only thing that really bothered me was the mishandling of the event at the end. I still love the Azkaban movie (also despite the egregious omissions of the Marauder's Map authors. I mean, all they needed to do is add one stupid line of dialogue to explain it!!!), and I'm still ho-hum about Goblet of Fire and Order of the Phoenix movies.
Can't wait for November!
