Re: Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince

Only 6 more days! I am so excited!

Re: Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince

Only 6 reviews, though. :(

11 now and only one Rotten - but I wouldn't call most of them real critics. Supposedly one paper had a 15 year old girl who is a fan of the books review it and she didn't like it because it was so distant from the novel.

Personally I think this is one of the strongest books in the series, but I'm willing to give Yates the benefit of the doubt. Some changes need to be made to make it more visual. Nothing really major can change because they still have 2 movies to go.

Re: Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince

Haven't been reading the thread or following what clips, etc. are available online but there is an excellent 14 minute making-of on HBO On Demand.

Re: Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince

This looks like a good movie from the previews. The part that I found most interesting in the Half Blood Prince book was when
Dumbledore meets Tom Riddle for the first time as a child.

I use the spoiler just in case.

Re: Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince

My theater is effing sold out! I am so pissed off!

Re: Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince

Being that this is the only HP book I've ever read, I'll be going into this like many of you whereas for the last ones I was able just to enjoy the movies and so granted I loved every one. I have a chance to see this tonight in a private showing for movie theater employees so I'm just waiting to get confirmation from my buddy to be the plus one... :rock

Re: Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince

But would it have been that high anyway without the postponement????

Well, the original reviews in November said it was bad...now everyone is saying how amazing it is. Who knows...maybe they changed some stuff.

Awesome, Mike! :rock

Re: Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince

Since the screen last year was a disaster reminiscent of the screening for The Dueling Cavalier, I would say yeah. :lol

:lol:lol

Both guys liked it on the Siskel & Ebert rip-off show that I saw last night. So I'm excited.
