Hey guys,

I'm a big Harry Potter fan. I have almost all of the Mattel figures from the first film, and as far as NECA goes, I only have the Voldemort figure and Harry from the Order of the Phoenix (both are six inches tall; I'm not talking about the 18 inch figures).

I'm a little frustrated because in the UK, I can't find any of the other NECA figures for a good price online. Of course, no store sells them anymore, so online is the only option.

I wanted to maybe start a discussion about the possibility of a new Harry Potter figure line in the future. I feel like Harry Potter is appealing to children, and so there could be an ongoing and non-stop market for HP figures. It'd be really nice to have a toy line that spans the entire course of the films. I understand that Popco and Tomy have smaller scale figures, but those don't look so good to me. :/

I'd like there to be a six inch HP line that covers all the films in the future. What do you guys think the chances are of something like that happening? Basically, I don't want to start forking out big money to collect the NECA figures if in two years time, there'll be a brand new line that I could just start fresh with.

I doubt we'll see any future lines of Harry Potter figures without either new films or a rerelease of the movies in 3D. Even then it would be unlikely we'd get a full line based on all of the films.

What about stand alone figures, not full on lines? It's just that HP is the most successful film series ever, right? Like from a financial standpoint? And with children today still reading the books and watching the movies, it's clear to me that there'd be people buying things like this.

Would be nice if NECA kept this line going. I have most of theirs and think they're kick-ass.

Super jealous that you have most of them. I have three: Voldy, Harry, and Fenrir. I just found Ron online from China. I was nervous, but I sent the item number to Neca and they looked at it and said they think it's a legit figure.

I also emailed Neca to show my enthusiasm about them continuing to make HP figures, but I doubt that'll get anywhere. I'm so obsessed with tracking these figures down lately. I really, really want to get as many as I can. So if anybody gets any leads on some, especially in the UK, let me know. :wink1:

The reason you can't find any NECA figures is in the UK is because another company had exclusive UK figure rights there and NECA for the UK.

Pretty much Potter Products are dead in the water now with no more films or books to support them. Sideshow has said for years they'd love to do Potter items, but things just never panned out for them.

Do you know what company it was? Was it Popco or Tomy? I see shed loads of those figures, and honestly, I think they are ****. The only advantage the Popco ones have is that they produced more characters, and they made playsets to go with them. They are, however, much smaller than the Neca ones, and I don't think they are particularly good looking.

I hope someone chooses to do more HP stuff. I get what you're saying: For the past eleven years, there was ALWAYS something HP-related going on. Now, there's nothing. But children still read the books and enjoy the films (at least here in the UK, I can't imagine it'd be different in the US. It wasn't when I moved from there last year). I stand by what I said, and that is that there is still a market for HP figures.

By the way, buttmunch (what a strange name), I am from Utah. Salt Lake City. :)

Sideshow needs to do potter figures , the fan base would buy them and Harry potted would never die. Medicom and gentle giant made some statues and sideshow needs to aswell.

Medicom made a 12 inch Harry Potter figure that I think looks awesome. I'd love to see more 1/6 scale figures. Oh, they made a Snape one too, but he's crazy expensive. Like 250 pounds.

I've asked this before but I think the answer I got was a guess- are the Neca bobble head Harry Potter figures 1/6 scale or larger? Are any Potter figures they make 1/6?

Sorry, I have no idea about the bobbleheads.

I have not seen any NECA HP figures in the 1/6 scale. I just know of the six inch and eighteen inch figures.
